The realme P3 is the stronger on-paper choice if you want an AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, or up to 256GB of storage. The realme P3x has a slightly larger display, but uses an LCD-class panel and tops out at 128GB on its India specifications page. Both list a 120Hz FHD+ display, a 6000mAh typical battery, and 45W charging. A reliable current price gap cannot be confirmed from the available listings, and realme’s India store marks the P3x discontinued and unavailable.

Which phone has the better display?
Choose the P3 for AMOLED
The P3’s 6.67-inch AMOLED screen is the clearest display upgrade in this comparison. AMOLED technology is the main difference to weigh if you prioritize the screen; realme lists the panel at 120Hz, 600-nit typical brightness, and 2000-nit peak brightness.

Choose the P3x for a slightly larger screen
The P3x display measures 6.72 inches, 0.05 inches larger diagonally than the P3. It is an LCD-class FHD+ panel with a refresh rate up to 120Hz and a listed peak brightness of 950 nits. The larger diagonal does not make it the more premium panel, and brightness figures should not be treated as directly equivalent when one is stated as typical and another as peak.
Which has the faster processor?
The P3 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, while the P3x uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400. Their listed process nodes and maximum CPU clock speeds differ, but those figures alone do not establish which phone performs better in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads. The specifications here do not include independent benchmark or thermal testing.

Storage and memory
The P3 has the higher documented storage ceiling: realme’s India page lists a 256GB configuration, while the P3x page lists 128GB. Both offer 6GB and 8GB RAM configurations. Dynamic RAM figures refer to storage used for memory expansion, not additional physical RAM.

Cameras
Both phones list a 50MP main camera and a secondary 2MP camera, described respectively as portrait and bokeh. Megapixel counts and camera labels do not establish comparative photo quality; the available specifications do not provide a basis for declaring a camera winner.

Battery and charging
Realme lists the same 6000mAh typical capacity and 45W charging for both phones. Each specification page also gives a 5860mAh rated minimum. These matching figures do not predict identical battery life; runtime varies with brightness, signal, apps, and other use conditions.
Software and size
Both India specification pages list realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. A software-update support duration is not established by those listings. The P3x is slightly taller, wider, and heavier; the P3 is marginally thicker according to the approximate measurements provided.

What do the water- and shock-resistance claims mean?
Realme’s product pages describe testing claims, not a guarantee that either phone is damage-proof. The manufacturer warns that resistance can diminish with wear, and the stated ratings and tests should not be read as permission to deliberately submerge the phone. Check the relevant product-page conditions and warranty terms before relying on any resistance claim.
