The realme P3 Ultra 5G is the higher-specification phone. It runs a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra where the standard realme P3 5G uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, has a 1.5K quad-curved 120Hz AMOLED screen against the P3’s flat 120Hz panel, charges at 80W instead of 45W, and has an 8MP ultra-wide camera where the P3 has a 2MP one. Both share a 6000mAh battery and a 50MP main camera. The standard P3 is the value pick: at the India launch on March 19, 2025, its base variant listed for ₹10,000 less than the Ultra’s base variant. Whether that gap is worth paying depends on how much you value faster charging, the curved display and better wide-angle photos, and on the price you can get today.

Specifications side by side

Both phones are India-exclusive P series models launched on March 19, 2025. The table uses realme’s own product material where it states a value, and the India Today Tech hands-on comparison where it describes the standard P3’s display and camera.

Performance: chipset and benchmark claims

On paper, the P3 Ultra sits in the higher performance tier. The Dimensity 8350 Ultra is the stronger chip in this pair. realme’s launch material cites a benchmark score of 1,450,000+ (AnTuTu) for the Ultra and a benchmark score of 750,000 for the P3. These are realme’s own claims, not independent test results, and they should not be read as a like-for-like test of the two phones.

India Today Tech’s hands-on comparison reported that the Ultra performed better during its test period, while noting multitasking limitations on both reviewed phones. Those are reviewer observations from one test period, not guarantees for every user.

Display

The Ultra’s screen is the more distinctive of the two. Its 1.5K resolution is sharper than a standard full-HD panel, its edges curve on four sides, and it runs at 120Hz. The P3 keeps a flat 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel. Curved versus flat is a matter of taste, but it has a practical side: if you plan to use a screen protector on the Ultra, buy one designed for a quad-curved display. India Today Tech reported stronger display brightness on the Ultra during its testing.

Battery and charging

Battery capacity does not separate these phones. Both are rated at 6000mAh. The difference is wired charging: 80W on the Ultra and 45W on the P3. India Today Tech reported faster charging on the Ultra in its test period, but it did not publish a guaranteed full-charge time. Treat 80W and 45W as maximum rated speeds; real charging speed depends on the charger and cable you use and on the phone’s temperature while charging.

Super OIS technology further enhances image stability and clarity, improving the success rate of shooting.
  • Iceberg Steam Cooling System: By combining 10014 square millimeters of 3D tempered dual VC heat dissipation plates and a 9-layer cooling structure, coupled with side full zone cooling design, GT6 achieves efficient and consistent high-performance gaming experience, while significantly reducing heat perception and ensuring temperature control during long-term gaming.
  • Intelligent prediction and personalized advice: The built-in artificial intelligence can identify your usage habits, predict your needs, and provide accurate advice. For example, when you long press the text to book a hotel, the AI will automatically pop up a series of map prompts to help you quickly find the best route to your destination.

Cameras

The main cameras match on resolution, both reported at 50MP. The difference is the ultra-wide lens. The Ultra’s 8MP ultra-wide has four times the pixel count of the P3’s 2MP unit, which generally means more detail in wide-angle shots. India Today Tech reported stronger camera results for the Ultra under its test conditions. The Ultra’s official page also advertises 4K video at 60fps. Image quality is the reviewer’s judgment, not a lab measurement.

Price difference

The prices below are India launch list prices for each configuration, reported by Business Standard on March 19, 2025. They are historical figures. The same launch period also included card discounts and exchange bonuses, which were promotions and not part of the list price. For current prices, check a live listing as described at the end of this article.

Storage and RAM tier P3 Ultra 5G (launch price) P3 5G (launch price) Launch gap
8GB/128GB ₹26,999 ₹17,999 ₹9,000
8GB/256GB ₹27,999 ₹19,999 ₹8,000
Base variants (Ultra 8GB/128GB vs P3 6GB/128GB) ₹26,999 ₹16,999 ₹10,000
12GB/256GB ₹29,999 No equivalent in the launch list Not applicable

The gap figures are simple subtraction of the launch list prices. The base-variant row compares different RAM amounts, so the matched 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB rows are the fairer comparison. Neither row describes a current offer.

Which one should you buy?

  • Choose the P3 Ultra if you want the faster chip and 80W charging, prefer a curved screen, shoot a lot of wide-angle photos, or want 4K 60fps video, and you can pay the gap of roughly ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 seen at launch.
  • Choose the P3 if budget comes first, a flat display suits you, 45W charging is fast enough for your routine, and you rarely use the ultra-wide camera.
  • Heavy multitaskers should read reviews of both phones closely before buying, because the reviewer found multitasking limits on each.

Before you buy

  • Compare the same RAM and storage tier, not the base variants.
  • Check the current price, stock and seller on a live listing, and note whether the price depends on a bank card or exchange offer.
  • Read the terms of any bank or exchange offer, including conditions and limits.
  • Confirm the specifications for the India model on realme’s official product page for the exact phone you are buying. Software features can differ by region and software version.
