Neither phone wins on paper across the board. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion lists the larger battery, the faster display and the higher-resolution selfie camera, while the realme P3 Ultra lists the faster charging and the more weather-resistant protection ratings. Which one fits depends on whether you care more about battery capacity and screen refresh rate or about charging speed and water and dust resistance. On price, Motorola’s India storefront currently shows the Edge 70 Fusion at ₹30,999 against a ₹42,999 MRP, but we could not find a current India selling price for the realme P3 Ultra on its official pages, so a like-for-like price difference cannot be calculated yet.
Side-by-side specifications
The figures below are the ones each manufacturer publishes on its India specifications pages. They describe what the phones are built with, not how they perform in use. Motorola’s specifications page states, “Certain specifications may vary by market,” so confirm the exact specification for the market where you will buy.

Battery and charging: the numbers pull in different directions
The Motorola has the larger listed battery, at 7,000mAh against realme’s 6,000mAh typical rating. realme’s own rated figure is 5,860mAh, so the gap is between roughly 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh depending on which of realme’s numbers you use. Battery capacity is not the same as runtime, because the screen, chipset, network and settings all change how long a charge lasts. Neither manufacturer’s listing gives a comparable endurance test, so treat the capacity difference as a direction, not a measured result.
Charging is the reverse. realme lists 80W against Motorola’s 68W, which should mean a shorter time to refill a flat battery on realme’s hardware if you use the correct charger. realme’s product page reports 47 minutes from 1 to 100 percent, and 17 hours of video playback. These are realme’s own claims under test conditions it describes on its page. We have not independently timed either phone, and the actual charge time you see will depend on the charger, cable and battery temperature.

Cameras: megapixels do not settle image quality
Both phones list a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, but the sensors are different models. realme uses a Sony IMX896; Motorola uses a Sony LYTIA 710. The ultrawide camera is 8MP on realme and 13MP on Motorola, and the selfie camera is 16MP on realme and 32MP on Motorola. Higher megapixel counts do not automatically produce better photos, since sensor size, pixel processing, lens quality and software tuning all affect the final image. We did not run controlled side-by-side shots, so no ranking of image quality is offered here. If photography is your main reason to buy, compare sample photos taken in the same conditions from reviewers you trust before you decide.
Processor, display and software
The realme uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultra and the Motorola uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. These are the chip names the manufacturers list. The manufacturer’s own benchmark claim for the realme is 1,450,000+ on AnTuTu, reported by realme Lab, and realme notes that scores can vary with environment and usage. That is a realme figure, not an independent result, and it does not show that the realme is faster in games or everyday use. We have no tested frame rates or heat results for either phone.

The display specifications favour different things. The Motorola’s 144Hz maximum refresh rate is higher than the realme’s 120Hz, which may matter for very smooth scrolling and some games that support high frame rates. Refresh rate is only one part of display quality, though, and the two panels use different labels and testing descriptions, so a higher number on one spec sheet does not prove a better screen.

On software, the Motorola ships with Android 16 as listed, while the realme runs realme UI 6.0 on Android 15. Check each phone’s update commitments on the manufacturer’s site before you buy, since update promises are stated in different ways and the India listing is what applies to you.

Build and protection
realme lists IP69, IP68 and IP66 ratings, which covers water and dust resistance across several test conditions. Motorola lists IP69 and IP68 and adds MIL-STD-810H, which is a US military test standard for environmental durability rather than a water rating. The two sets of labels are not interchangeable, and similar wording does not mean the same tests were run. Both phones list Gorilla Glass 7i. If you plan to use the phone near water, the IP ratings are the more relevant specification, and the realme’s additional IP66 listing is the one difference on that line.
Price and price difference
Motorola Edge 70 Fusion
Motorola’s India smartphone storefront shows the Edge 70 Fusion with several RAM and storage configurations, with a list price (MRP) of ₹42,999 and a displayed price of ₹30,999 at the time we checked. That is a ₹12,000 gap between MRP and the displayed price. Storefront prices change and may include time-limited offers, so the figure is a snapshot, not a guaranteed price. Confirm which RAM and storage pairing the displayed price applies to before comparing it with anything else.

realme P3 Ultra
realme’s official product and specification pages describe the phone and its variants but did not show a current India selling price when we checked. Without a realme price for the same RAM and storage combination, we cannot state a reliable difference between the two phones. Do not assume that the Motorola price is the lower one for every variant until you have checked both.

- Match RAM and storage exactly. Compare 8GB + 128GB with 8GB + 128GB, and 12GB + 256GB with 12GB + 256GB.
- Check the price on the same day for both phones, on the official store or an authorised retailer.
- Record the list price (MRP) separately from any offer price, bank discount or exchange deal.
- Confirm that the India variant includes the warranty you expect and that the listing is in stock.
- Check that the product page you are reading is for the India model, since specifications can vary by market.
Which phone fits which priorities
Long battery life
The Motorola’s 7,000mAh listed capacity is the stronger battery claim on paper. If you mainly want to go a full day on one charge, it is the one to look at first. The realme’s 80W charging is the better fit if you often need to top up quickly and can use a compatible fast charger.

Fast charging
The realme lists 80W against Motorola’s 68W. The practical gain depends on the charger you use and whether it supports the phone’s full rated speed, so buy the charger that matches the phone’s specification rather than relying on the wattage number alone.
Gaming
The Motorola’s 144Hz display is the higher refresh rate, which helps only where games and the phone support it. The realme’s processor and AnTuTu claim are manufacturer figures. Neither spec sheet tells you frame rates or temperature under sustained play, so judge gaming on tested reviews of the specific game you play.
Photography and selfies
The Motorola offers a 13MP ultrawide and a 32MP selfie camera, against realme’s 8MP and 16MP. Those figures show what each phone has, not how well it takes pictures. Compare sample images before you choose on the strength of these numbers.
Water and dust exposure
The realme’s IP69, IP68 and IP66 listings give it the broader water and dust rating set. The Motorola’s MIL-STD-810H rating is a durability standard for drops and environmental stress, so it does not replace an IP rating for submersion or wet use.
Before you buy
Check both phones on the same day and for the same RAM and storage pairing, because that is the only way a price difference means anything. Confirm the India specifications on each manufacturer’s page, and note the warranty included in the listing you are buying. If the battery, charging speed or water resistance is the deciding factor, use the figures above as a starting point and look for independent tests of those specific features before you commit.
