The realme P3 Ultra 5G is a strong fit if you want gaming-oriented performance, a large battery, fast charging and a distinctive curved AMOLED screen. Its appeal is less clear if you need reliable direct-sunlight readability, versatile cameras, a flat display or a firmly established software-support commitment. It launched in India in March 2025, so judge its value by the price of the exact variant today—not launch-era figures.

What the P3 Ultra does well
Performance-focused hardware
The Dimensity 8350 Ultra puts the P3 Ultra’s emphasis on speed and gaming, with configurations up to 12GB of physical RAM. 91mobiles regarded it as a strong option for gaming and demanding workloads, while GSMArena reported smooth operation in ordinary use. Those assessments do not establish that the phone sustains peak performance in every game or over long sessions.

Large battery and fast charging
The 6000mAh typical battery and included 80W adapter make charging convenience a clear part of the package. 91mobiles and India Today both described battery life positively, but their qualitative impressions should not be turned into a guaranteed number of hours: runtime depends on brightness, network conditions, games and other use.

A distinctive curved display and finish
The 6.83-inch 1.5K-class panel combines quad-curved edges with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. That can make scrolling feel smooth and gives the phone a more dramatic look than a flat-screen design. realme advertises a Glowing Lunar finish, described by India Today as a moon image on the back that glows. The company lists approximately 183g weight and 7.38mm thickness; finish availability can vary, so check the exact SKU.
A capable main camera
The 50MP main camera includes optical image stabilization. 91mobiles reported sharp, detailed photos and good daylight and night-mode output. The 8MP ultra-wide adds a different field of view, but the two-camera arrangement is not especially versatile for the segment: there is no telephoto camera, and the secondary sensor has much lower resolution than the main one. Megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality.

Where the P3 Ultra may disappoint
Outdoor screen readability varies
The manufacturer’s 1500-nit peak-brightness figure is not a promise of uniform brightness in direct sun. Reviewers’ observations differ: 91mobiles found outdoor readability underwhelming in direct sunlight, whereas India Today found the Ultra brighter outdoors than the standard P3. If you often use a phone in harsh sunlight, try the display in those conditions before buying when possible.

In GSMArena’s stress tests, the P3 Ultra retained 67% of maximum CPU performance and 57% of maximum GPU power. These are that publication’s test results, not a prediction for every game, ambient temperature or session. India Today also reported some lag when switching between YouTube and Instagram direct messages. Taken together, the reviews suggest that smooth everyday use does not by itself settle how the phone will behave under sustained workloads or rapid app switching.

Software experience and support need checking
GSMArena identifies the software as Android 15 with realme UI 6.0 and reports a promise of three major Android updates. 91mobiles describes the interface as clunky, notes preinstalled apps, and reports two major OS updates. Because those review accounts conflict, they do not establish a dependable update duration. Check realme’s current India support commitment for the specific model before purchase; also consider whether the interface and preinstalled apps suit you.
How to compare it with alternatives
GSMArena names the iQOO Neo 10R, OnePlus Nord CE5, vivo V50 and POCO X7 Pro as alternatives. Its comparisons characterize the iQOO as faster, with a larger battery and better selfie camera; the Nord CE5 as offering a microSD slot and higher battery capacity but lower screen resolution; the vivo V50 as more camera-focused but more expensive; and the POCO X7 Pro as more powerful with a Dolby Vision display but with inferior battery results in GSMArena’s tests. These are that reviewer’s assessments, not timeless rankings. Check current models, prices and availability before using them to decide.

Should you buy the realme P3 Ultra?
Consider it if gaming-oriented hardware, battery capacity, fast charging and a curved, high-refresh display are your priorities—and if its live price for your chosen configuration compares well with alternatives. Look elsewhere or compare carefully if you depend on easy direct-sunlight viewing, sustained peak performance, camera flexibility, a flat screen or a clear long-term update commitment. The right verdict depends on the current deal and which of those trade-offs matters most to you.
