The realme P3 5G is the stronger pick on paper if you want a newer chipset, a larger rated battery, and a higher published ingress-protection rating. The realme P1 5G is the lower-priced option in the India listings checked on 4 October 2026, while the two phones share the same headline display size and camera resolutions. The P3’s extra ₹2,000 is most worthwhile if its platform and protection advantages matter to you.

Which phone is faster?
The P3 has the newer platform: realme lists a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, compared with the P1’s MediaTek Dimensity 7050. That makes the P3 the more performance-oriented choice based on the listed chipsets.

Are the displays different?
Both phones are listed with a 6.67-inch, 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, so their headline size, resolution class, and refresh-rate figure match. That does not establish identical brightness, color tuning, or behavior in every app. realme cautions that P1 display measurements can vary with environment and that 120Hz operation applies in supported apps and scenarios.
Does the P3 battery last longer?
The P3 has the larger stated battery capacity: 6,000mAh versus the P1’s 5,000mAh typical capacity. Both list 45W charging. Capacity alone does not establish how long a phone will last between charges, because use and test conditions matter.
There is a notable mismatch in third-party figures: 91mobiles reports battery-test durations of 12 hours 44 minutes for the P3 and 16 hours 20 minutes for the P1, despite the P3’s higher rated capacity. Those are 91mobiles’ results; the methodology and conditions have not been independently verified here. If battery life is your deciding factor, look for independent reviews that test both models under comparable conditions rather than assuming the larger-capacity phone will last longer.
What do IP54 and IP69 mean for protection?
realme lists the P1 as IP54 and the P3 as IP69. The P3 therefore has the higher published ingress-protection rating, but neither rating means a phone is waterproof or immune to damage. Treat these as manufacturer-stated protection ratings, not a promise that either phone will survive every exposure or accident.

Do the cameras take different-quality photos?
The listed camera resolutions are the same: each has a 50MP main rear camera, a 2MP secondary rear camera, and a 16MP front camera. Matching megapixel counts do not prove matching image quality, and no controlled image-quality comparison is established in the cited listings. Do not choose between them on resolution alone.
What is the realme P1 vs P3 price difference in India?
Gadgets 360 listed the P1 from ₹13,999 and the P3 from ₹15,999 on 4 October 2026, a ₹2,000 difference between those reported starting prices. The listings identify 6GB/128GB variants at those amounts; higher-memory or storage configurations have separate prices, and color listings can differ. The page reported the lowest price at Flipkart on that date, so check the seller and exact variant before buying. These are reported retail listings, not fixed manufacturer prices.
Which should you buy: realme P1 or realme P3?
Choose the realme P3 5G if
- You prefer its newer listed chipset and the performance-oriented choice on paper.
- You want the larger stated battery capacity.
- You value the higher published IP rating.
- The ₹2,000 premium over the cited starting prices fits your budget.
Choose the realme P1 5G if
- You want the lower reported starting price.
- The shared display format and camera resolutions meet your needs.
- You are not paying extra for the P3’s chipset, battery capacity, or IP rating.
For battery life specifically, the available capacity and third-party test figures point in different directions. Compare independent tests made under like-for-like conditions before making that the deciding factor.
