The realme NARZO 90 5G has the stronger published spec sheet for a sharper AMOLED display, a lighter and thinner body, a higher-resolution front camera and a faster stated charging rate. The realme P4R 5G counters with a larger listed battery, a larger screen and a higher maximum refresh rate, but its panel is HD+ LCD rather than FHD+ AMOLED. On price, the two announced starting figures differ by only ₹11, and that gap does not establish a real saving. Compare the 6GB/128GB tier at current retailers before deciding.

The figures below come from realme India’s own specification pages, accessed 7 October 2026. Where a value is a realme claim rather than a listed specification, the table says so.

What the differences mean in practice
Display: resolution and panel type
The NARZO 90 pairs a flexible AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, which gives it about 397 pixels per inch. The P4R’s LCD panel has HD+ resolution at roughly 254 PPI. At normal viewing distance, that difference shows up most clearly in small text, fine icons and image detail. The P4R’s screen is physically larger and its listed refresh rate reaches 144Hz, against 120Hz on the NARZO 90. A higher refresh ceiling only matters when the phone actually runs at that rate, which depends on the app, the content and the power mode, so treat 144Hz as a maximum rather than a constant behaviour.

Chipset: names without a winner
Both phones use MediaTek silicon, with the Dimensity 6400 MAX listed for the NARZO 90 and the Dimensity 6300 for the P4R. The model numbers suggest a generational and tier difference, but naming the chips does not show which one is faster in daily use. Anyone who wants a performance ranking needs side-by-side benchmark results, and none are part of this comparison.
Cameras: resolution is not image quality
The NARZO 90 has a 50MP wide rear camera plus a 2MP monochrome sensor, while the P4R has a single 50MP wide rear camera. The monochrome sensor is a secondary module and its role in the phone’s output is not evaluated here. On the front, the NARZO 90’s 50MP sensor has a much higher listed resolution than the P4R’s 8MP. Higher megapixels on paper do not decide selfie quality, which depends on sensor size, processing and lighting. Neither listing is evidence of how the photos look.

Battery and charging: capacity and rated speed are separate figures
The P4R has the larger typical battery, at 8,000mAh against the NARZO 90’s 7,000mAh. The NARZO 90 has the faster charging rate on paper, with 60W advertised on realme’s product page against 45W on the P4R’s specification listing. A bigger battery and a faster charger do not add up to a longer day of use, because runtime also depends on the display, the processor and the software. realme’s own endurance and battery-lifespan statements are manufacturer claims and should be attributed to realme.

The NARZO 90 is listed at 181g and 7.79mm thick, and the P4R at about 224g and 8.8mm. The P4R’s dimensions are approximate and may vary by configuration. For a buyer who carries the phone in a pocket all day, the weight gap is the most noticeable difference on this list.

Memory and storage: match the tier before comparing
Both models have a 6GB/128GB configuration, which is the only tier listed for both. The NARZO 90 also has an 8GB/128GB option, and the P4R has a 4GB/128GB option and a 6GB/256GB option. When you compare prices, use the 6GB/128GB tier unless you specifically need the extra storage or memory.
Protection: one rating is listed, one is not
realme’s NARZO 90 product page advertises IP69 protection. The P4R specification listing does not state an IP rating. That absence does not prove the P4R lacks one, so check realme’s P4R product page or the packaging before assuming either way.

Price difference: what is verified and what is not
The P4R’s announced starting price
realme’s India newsroom announcement gives the P4R 5G a starting price of ₹16,999. This is the manufacturer’s announced starting price, not a live checkout price, and it may refer to a configuration or offer that differs from the one you are comparing. The realme India newsroom is the place to confirm that announcement.

Why the ₹11 gap is not a saving
The two starting figures differ by ₹11 when subtracted, but they come from different types of source: one is a manufacturer’s launch announcement and the other is a dated retail listing. The starting prices may also cover different configurations. Neither figure is a current like-for-like comparison, so the gap should not be treated as a verified saving or a verified premium.
How to compare matching configurations
- Confirm the variant. Compare the 6GB/128GB tier on both phones, since it is the only tier listed for both.
- Open each model on the realme India store to record the official price for that tier on the day you check.
- Check at least two retailers for each phone and record the seller, the listed price, any bank or exchange offer, the date and whether the variant is in stock.
- Compare the total you would pay after offers, on the same day, for the same tier.
- If a live price for the P4R’s 6GB/128GB tier cannot be found, say so in your comparison rather than presenting a definitive saving.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the NARZO 90 if a sharper AMOLED screen, a lighter and thinner phone, a 50MP front camera or the stated faster charging matter more to you.
- Choose the P4R if a larger screen, a higher refresh ceiling and a bigger listed battery matter more, and you accept an HD+ LCD panel and a heavier body.
- Choose whichever phone is cheaper at checkout for the same storage tier, after the price check above, if the specifications do not separate them for you.
