If you’re shopping in Spain, the realme GT 8 Pro is the lower-priced option in the offers checked on October 1, 2026: it started at €689, compared with €953 for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. That is a €264 difference between listed starting prices, not a guaranteed gap for every configuration or seller. The GT 8 Pro also publishes a higher maximum screen refresh rate and specific fast-charging figures; Samsung’s cited announcement confirms a slightly larger display and a Galaxy-customized version of the same named Snapdragon generation. Which is the better buy depends on your local price, exact configuration, and priorities.
How much cheaper is the realme GT 8 Pro?
For Spain, EligeMovil listed the realme GT 8 Pro from €689 and the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra from €953, with prices checked October 1, 2026. The listed starting-price difference is €264 in realme’s favor. These are a dated comparison of offers, not official launch prices or guaranteed checkout totals; the page also shows alternative retailer offers above the starting prices. Check the seller, exact storage variant, warranty, and final price before buying. Do not apply this Spain-specific gap to another country.
Because the realme page says RAM and storage configurations vary by country and region, compare the same storage tier where possible. Samsung’s cited global launch announcement confirms the S26 Ultra but does not enumerate its full storage tiers in the source used here, so a like-for-like price comparison requires checking local listings.

Which screen is better for you?
The Samsung has the larger stated panel at 6.9 inches, while realme lists 6.79 inches. The GT 8 Pro’s published maximum refresh rate is 144Hz; Samsung specifies adaptive refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz. Those figures describe different refresh behavior: a maximum rate is not the same claim as an adaptive range. They do not establish which screen looks better in practice, since the cited specifications do not compare brightness, calibration, outdoor readability, or viewing conditions.
Are the phones equally fast?
Both use processors from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 family, but Samsung identifies its chip as “for Galaxy.” The shared generation name alone does not demonstrate equal performance, and the specifications cited here do not provide controlled speed, gaming, or thermal comparisons. If sustained gaming or demanding workloads matter, look for tests that measure both phones under comparable conditions.

What do the battery and charging figures tell you?
realme specifies a 7000mAh typical battery capacity, up to 120W wired charging, and up to 50W wireless charging. Those are manufacturer specifications, not measurements of screen-on time or charging time. The cited Samsung announcement does not establish comparable battery or charging figures, so these sources cannot support a direct battery-life verdict. realme’s India launch announcement also described the 7000mAh battery and 120W SuperVOOC charging; it is launch-period messaging rather than independent endurance testing (realme India announcement, November 7, 2025).

Choose the realme GT 8 Pro if
- Its local price is meaningfully lower for the storage tier you want.
- You value the stated 144Hz maximum refresh rate or the specified battery capacity and charging ceilings.
- The exact model is officially available where you live, with acceptable warranty and network-band support.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra if
- You prefer its slightly larger stated display and adaptive 1–120Hz refresh behavior.
- You specifically want Samsung’s Galaxy-customized Snapdragon variant and have confirmed the local configuration, price, and support terms.
Before choosing either, verify local stock, seller reliability, warranty and service coverage, network bands, and software-support terms. The sources cited here do not establish a comparative software-update duration, camera performance, or controlled performance results. realme’s November 7, 2025 India announcement describes a RICOH IMAGING collaboration and camera modes; that is product messaging, not independent evidence that its cameras outperform Samsung’s.
