The realme GT 7T is the better choice if you weight the listed chipset, storage standard and charging speed most heavily. The realme 16 Pro+ (written “16 Pro Plus” in many searches) is the better choice if you want a telephoto camera or a screen that can reach 144Hz. Both phones list the same 7000mAh typical battery, so battery capacity does not separate them. These comparisons rest on published specifications, not on independent tests of performance or image quality. A confirmed price difference cannot be stated yet, because the sources we checked do not give a live, same-configuration price for both phones.

Processor and storage
The GT 7T lists a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-MAX and UFS 4.0 storage. The 16 Pro+ lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and UFS 3.1 storage. On paper, the GT 7T has the newer storage standard, and the two chips are positioned differently. Published specifications do not show which phone runs apps, games or multitasking faster. That requires matched benchmarks and sustained-load tests, and none were available for this comparison.
When you check a listing, confirm the exact RAM and storage pairing. The sources list different storage options for each model, so a 256GB version of one phone is not automatically comparable to a 128GB version of the other.

The 16 Pro+ has the more flexible rear camera system on paper. Its 200MP main camera and 50MP telephoto camera both have OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera completes the set. A telephoto lens gives you a second zoom option that the GT 7T’s listed rear cameras do not show.
#1 Best Overall
Megapixel counts do not predict photo quality. Sensor size, processing, lens quality and software tuning all affect the final image, and none of those were tested here. Treat the 16 Pro+ as the phone with more listed focal options, not the phone with better photos.
Display
The 16 Pro+ lists an AMOLED panel at 1280 × 2800 with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The GT 7T’s 120Hz figure comes from a secondary comparison database, and that source does not confirm the full display specification, so you should verify it on the product page before buying. If a higher refresh ceiling matters to you, the 16 Pro+ is the one listed with it.

Battery and charging
Both phones list a 7000mAh typical battery and a 6850mAh rated capacity. Typical capacity is the figure realme uses for its batteries, and the rated figure is the more conservative number. The GT 7T page describes a dual-cell construction and notes that test results vary. Actual endurance depends on screen use, signal conditions and settings, so the listed capacity alone does not predict how long either phone lasts.

Charging is where the two phones differ on paper. The GT 7T is rated at up to 120W, and the 16 Pro+ at up to 80W. Both figures are maximums under specific conditions, and the time to a full charge depends on the charger, cable and battery temperature.

Durability
Both phones carry an IP69 rating, which realme markets as protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. IP ratings describe resistance to specific test conditions. They do not mean the phone is damage-proof or safe under every condition, and the rating does not cover accidental drops. The GT 7T adds ArmorShell Glass, and the 16 Pro+ lists Gorilla Glass 7i. Check realme’s product pages for the conditions attached to each claim.
Price difference: what can and cannot be said
No verified current price gap exists between the two phones in the sources checked. The only transactable figure is a retailer listing for the GT 7T 12GB/256GB at ₹37,999 against a ₹42,999 MRP, and that listing was marked unavailable online. The 16 Pro+ has no matching price in the same sources, so a difference cannot be calculated.

Before comparing prices, use this order:
- Pick the exact RAM and storage configuration you want for each phone. A price comparison across different variants is misleading.
- Open the seller’s page for each model and confirm the listed price, stock status and delivery estimate on the same day.
- Note any bank or seller offers separately from the base price, and compare the final amount you would pay.
- Record the date you checked. Prices, stock and promotions change without notice.
Which one to choose
- Choose the GT 7T if the listed Dimensity 8400-MAX, UFS 4.0 storage and 120W charging matter more to you than camera range.
- Choose the 16 Pro+ if you want a telephoto camera, a three-module rear setup or a screen listed up to 144Hz.
- Decide on price last, and only after you have confirmed the same variant on both sellers’ pages.
Source note: the GT 7T and 16 Pro+ figures above come from realme India’s product and specification pages as accessed in 2026. The Dimensity and display details for the GT 7T come from a secondary comparison database and should be checked against realme’s own page.
