The realme GT 7 is the performance-oriented phone of the two on its listed processor, memory and charging specifications. The vivo T5 Pro has the larger battery and the larger, faster-refreshing display. Neither set of listed specifications shows how either phone will hold up over a long gaming session, how long its battery lasts in daily use, or which camera takes better photos. On price, there is no single gap to quote. The official and marketplace prices we checked on 7 October 2026 disagree, so the only fair comparison is the same RAM and storage tier, from the same seller, on the same day.
What the listed specifications show
The table below uses each manufacturer’s own listing. Where a listing does not give a detail, the cell says so rather than filling the gap with an assumption. The realme figures come from realme’s current global product page, which is not the same document as an Indian product page, so Indian variants and software may differ.
| Attribute | realme GT 7 | vivo T5 Pro 5G | What it means for the comparison |
|---|---|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 9400e | Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 | Different chip families. No independent benchmark comparison was available for either phone. |
| Memory and storage type | LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 | LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 | Both are manufacturer-listed. The newer standards on the realme side are a specification difference, not a measured speed difference. |
| RAM and storage options | Not stated on the realme global product page | 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB (vivo India product page) | Confirm which configurations realme sells in India before comparing prices. |
| Battery | 7000mAh typical-equivalent; 6850mAh rated capacity (realme global page, which explains the dual-cell method behind the typical figure) | 9020mAh (vivo India product page) | Capacity is not runtime. The two figures use different methods and cannot be read as a straight ranking. |
| Wired charging | 120W | 90W maximum with the standard charger in the box (vivo India product page) | Rated power does not establish how long a full charge takes. |
| Display | 8T LTPO; up to 6000-nit local peak brightness; 2600Hz touch-sampling claim (realme global page). Panel size and refresh rate not stated in the excerpt. | 6.83-inch AMOLED, 2800×1260, up to 144Hz; 2000-nit HBM and 5000-nit local peak (vivo India product page) | The two brightness figures are measured under different conditions and are not directly comparable. |
| Rear camera | Sony IMX906 highlighted; 4K Dolby Vision video. Full lens arrangement not stated. | 50MP Sony IMX882 main with 2MP bokeh sensor | Sensor names alone do not establish image quality. |
| Front camera | Not stated on the realme global product page | 32MP | Selfie quality depends on processing as well as sensor size, so the listing does not settle it. |
| Water and dust rating | IP69 (realme global page, with the test conditions and wear caveats it describes) | IP68 and IP69 (vivo India product page) | Both ratings come with test conditions. Neither makes a phone immune to water damage. |
| Software | Not stated on the realme global product page | Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0 (vivo India product page) | The India software version and update promise for the GT 7 need to be checked on an official Indian source. |
Performance and memory
Processor class
The Dimensity 9400e is listed as the higher-tier platform of the pair, and the realme listing pairs it with faster memory and storage standards. For a buyer who plays demanding games or keeps many apps open, that is the reason to look at the GT 7 first. What the listing cannot tell you is whether the GT 7 holds its frame rate for an hour, or whether it throttles under heat. Those results come from sustained-load testing, and no such test for either phone was available to this comparison.

Storage and memory speed
The memory and storage gap is real on paper, but most buyers will feel it only in app launches, large file transfers and multitasking. The T5 Pro’s LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 are still current mid-range standards. Treat the difference as a reason to check the GT 7’s real-world tests, not as a measured advantage.

- 162.4 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm (6.39 x 3.00 x 0.33 in)
Battery and charging
The T5 Pro’s 9020mAh battery is the larger figure, and the vivo listing gives no more context than the capacity itself. The GT 7’s 7000mAh figure is a typical-equivalent value, and realme states a 6850mAh rated capacity alongside it. A buyer comparing the two should therefore expect the T5 Pro to have more stored energy on paper, while the GT 7 is the one with faster charging on paper. Screen-on time depends on the chip, display, network and usage, so neither figure predicts it on its own.
On charging, the 120W rating on the GT 7 is higher than the 90W maximum on the T5 Pro. Use the rating to judge charging speed only after you have seen a measured charge curve, which the sources here did not provide.

Display
The T5 Pro is the one with a confirmed panel size, 6.83 inches, and a stated 144Hz maximum refresh rate. The GT 7 listing gives its panel type and brightness but not its size or refresh rate in the excerpt available, so it is not possible to say which screen is larger or smoother. Brightness is the trickiest comparison. The T5 Pro’s 2000-nit figure is a high-brightness-mode value, while its 5000-nit figure is a local peak. The GT 7’s 6000-nit figure is a local peak. A local peak is measured on a small area for a short time, so the higher-looking number does not mean the screen is brighter in daily use.

Both listings name their main sensors, but neither gives enough detail to compare image quality. The T5 Pro lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and a 32MP front camera. The GT 7’s global page highlights the Sony IMX906 and 4K Dolby Vision video, but does not give its full rear camera setup or front camera. Judge the cameras from published sample photos and video from independent reviewers, not from the sensor names on the spec sheet.

Durability and software
Both phones carry dust and water ratings, and both ratings come with test conditions set by the manufacturer. The T5 Pro lists IP68 and IP69; the GT 7 lists IP69. Do not treat either rating as a promise against water damage in everyday use, and check the warranty terms for liquid damage before relying on it.
On software, the T5 Pro’s listing gives Android 16 with OriginOS 6.0. The realme global page did not establish the India software version or a support period for the GT 7, so before you compare update promises, check realme’s Indian product page or its India support pages.

The price difference, and why the numbers disagree
The prices below were checked on 7 October 2026. Each one comes from a different type of source, so none of them is a stable street price.

| Source | Model and variant | Price shown | Price type |
|---|---|---|---|
| realme India campaign page | realme GT 7, variant not shown in the retrieved text | From ₹32,999 | Campaign starting price. Live terms are not shown, and it is not a verified checkout price. |
| vivo India online shop | vivo T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹41,999 (MRP ₹55,999) | Official shop listing |
| 91mobiles comparison, Amazon | realme GT 7 | ₹50,999 | Marketplace listing snapshot |
| 91mobiles comparison, Amazon | vivo T5 Pro | ₹37,497 | Marketplace listing snapshot |
The figures are not like-for-like. realme’s campaign price has no stated storage tier, and vivo’s official price is for one tier only. The Amazon figures point in the opposite direction from the official ones. Prices, offers and seller stock change quickly, so the figures above are only a record of what was shown on that date.
How to compare prices fairly
- Open realme’s Indian store or campaign page and note the RAM and storage tiers it sells for the GT 7. If the tier is not shown, write that down rather than assuming it matches.
- Pick one RAM and storage tier that both brands sell. The only tier with a confirmed vivo India price is 8GB+128GB.
- For each phone, record whether the figure is the MRP, a sale price, a campaign price, a bank or exchange offer, or a marketplace price.
- Check the seller and the final checkout total, including delivery and any bank offers, on the same day for both phones.
- Write the date beside each price. A price without a date should not be used in a comparison.
Which phone suits which buyer
- Choose the realme GT 7 if sustained performance, newer memory and storage standards, and faster wired charging matter most to you, and you can confirm an Indian price for the tier you want.
- Choose the vivo T5 Pro if you want the larger rated battery, a confirmed 144Hz display with a stated 6.83-inch size, a 32MP front camera, and a stated Android 16 and OriginOS 6.0 software build.
- Decide on cameras last. Neither listing proves that one camera is better, so use independent sample photos and video before you choose on that basis.
Once you have confirmed prices and software for the same tier, the choice mostly comes down to whether you value the GT 7’s processor and charging speed or the T5 Pro’s battery capacity and display size.
