On published specifications, the realme GT 7 has the higher-tier listed processor, larger battery and faster charging; the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G offers the higher maximum refresh rate and a lighter listed weight. A current price difference cannot be stated responsibly without matching the country, seller, date and storage configuration. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance, battery or camera test results.

Which phone is better?
It depends on what matters most. The GT 7 is the stronger paper choice if you prioritize the listed processor tier, battery capacity or charging speed. The POVA 8 Pro 5G is the spec-sheet choice for a higher stated refresh-rate ceiling and lower listed weight. The manufacturers’ figures alone do not establish real-world speed, gaming stability, battery endurance or overall value.

The GT 7 lists a Dimensity 9400e with a maximum stated clock speed of 3.4GHz; TECNO lists the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate up to 2.6GHz. That points to different stated chipset tiers, but clock speed and product specifications are not a substitute for comparable benchmark or sustained-use testing. They do not establish frame rates or how either phone behaves under prolonged load.

- 162.4 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm (6.39 x 3.00 x 0.33 in)
Display and refresh rate
Both phones list a 6.78-inch display. TECNO’s stated maximum refresh rate is 144Hz, compared with up to 120Hz on the GT 7. A higher maximum can allow smoother motion in supported content, but the actual refresh rate depends on device behavior and app support. The GT 7 lists the higher resolution at 2780 × 1264; TECNO lists AMOLED and brightness figures at normal, HBM and peak levels. Those manufacturer figures are not directly comparable brightness test results.
Battery and charging
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery (6850mAh minimum) and 120W charging. TECNO lists 6500mAh and 45W charging. The GT 7 therefore has the larger stated capacity and higher charging wattage, but capacity alone does not tell you which phone lasts longer in everyday use. Usage, settings and other conditions affect battery life.

Cameras
The GT 7 lists a 50MP main camera, a separate 50MP 2x camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera. The POVA 8 Pro 5G lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera; its front camera is listed at 13MP, compared with 32MP on the GT 7. These hardware details describe different camera configurations, not photo or video quality. No comparable image testing is established by the manufacturers’ specification pages, so neither phone can be called the better camera based on these figures alone.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsRAM and storage
Do not treat TECNO’s headline RAM totals as entirely physical memory. Its 512GB configuration lists “24GB RAM,” including 12GB extended RAM, while the 256GB configuration lists 16GB including 8GB extended RAM. Extended RAM is distinct from physical RAM, so the advertised totals are not directly comparable with a physical-RAM figure. The realme Singapore page lists 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, plus dynamic RAM expansion up to 12GB.

What is the price difference?
The official specification pages cited here establish product specifications, not current comparable street prices. There is no substantiated price-difference figure to give without a specific country, currency, seller, date and matched storage configuration. Prices and available variants can differ by market; compare local listings for the exact versions you are considering rather than inferring a global price gap.

Which should you choose?
- Consider the realme GT 7 if the higher listed processor tier, 7000mAh typical battery or 120W charging better matches your priorities.
- Consider the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if its listed maximum 144Hz refresh rate or 189g weight is more important to you.
- Compare local configurations carefully if RAM or price is decisive: the listed storage options differ, and TECNO’s extended-RAM totals include memory expansion.
- Seek comparable independent tests before choosing on camera quality, gaming stability, measured battery life or value; the cited specifications do not settle those questions.
