On published specifications, the realme GT 7 leads on chip platform, battery capacity and charging speed. The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G counters with expandable storage and a clearly stated long software-support commitment. A precise price difference cannot yet be given. Samsung’s India launch prices from June 30, 2026 are known, but no current realme GT 7 India price for a matching configuration was established, and launch prices are now more than three months old as of October 2026. Every spec below comes from manufacturer material, not independent testing.
Specifications side by side
The table uses realme’s Singapore specification page for the GT 7 unless another source is named, and Samsung’s global specification table for the Galaxy A27 5G. Regional configurations can differ, so treat the GT 7 column as the Singapore version.
| Area | realme GT 7 (Singapore page) | Galaxy A27 5G | What it means for a buyer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Processor | MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, 4 nm, up to 3.4 GHz | Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 4 nm | A higher-tier platform on paper for the GT 7. Compare the named chips, not benchmark scores, because no comparable benchmark results are published here. |
| Memory and storage | 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage | India launch variants of 6 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/256 GB; microSD up to 2 TB per Samsung’s global table | The GT 7 configuration is higher than any A27 variant. The A27 can add storage later. |
| Display | 6.78-inch, 2780×1264, up to 120 Hz; realme quotes a 6000-nit local peak | 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, up to 120 Hz | Both advertise 120 Hz. The 6000-nit figure is a peak measured under realme’s lab conditions, not a sustained brightness rating. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main, 50 MP 2× camera, 8 MP wide-angle | 50 MP main with OIS, 5 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro | The GT 7 lists a dedicated 2× lens. Samsung specifies optical stabilisation on the main camera. |
| Front camera and video | 32 MP; 4K recording at 30 and 60 fps listed | 12 MP; HDR video noted in Samsung’s India announcement | Spec sheets do not show how either camera performs in practice. |
| Battery | 7000 mAh typical, 6850 mAh minimum | 5000 mAh typical | The GT 7 has a materially larger rated battery. |
| Charging | 120 W; a charger is listed in the package contents | 25 W; in-box charger contents not established | The GT 7 has the faster rated charging. Charging times are not stated by either company. |
| Software | realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15; no update-duration commitment stated on the page | Up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades; up to six years of security updates from the initial global launch date | Samsung makes the more explicit long-term promise in the documents reviewed. |
| Security-update end date | Not stated | July 31, 2032 on Samsung India’s product page | A concrete date is available only for the A27. |
What the specifications mean in practice
Processor and platform
The Dimensity 9400e sits above the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the lineup of the two makers’ chips, which is the main reason the GT 7 is positioned as the performance phone. That gap matters most for sustained gaming, heavy multitasking and on-device AI tasks. The specifications alone cannot show how large the gap is in day-to-day use, and a buyer who mostly messages, browses and takes photos may not notice it.

Both phones advertise 120 Hz refresh rates, so the practical difference lies in panel size, resolution and brightness claims. The GT 7 is slightly larger and has a higher pixel count. The A27 uses Super AMOLED, a panel type with deep blacks that many buyers prefer for video. Realme’s 6000-nit figure applies only to a short local peak under specified lab conditions. It should not be compared with a typical outdoor brightness rating.

- 162.4 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm (6.39 x 3.00 x 0.33 in)
Cameras
The GT 7 offers more lenses on paper, including a 2× camera and a 32 MP front camera. The A27’s 50 MP main camera has optical stabilisation, which helps in low light and video. Megapixel counts are a weak guide to image quality, because sensor size, processing and tuning matter more. Neither source contains camera test results, so the camera comparison here is limited to what each company lists.
Battery and charging
The GT 7’s 7000 mAh typical capacity and 120 W charging rating are both higher than the A27’s 5000 mAh and 25 W. Rated capacity does not prove real endurance, since screen settings, network conditions and workload change how long a battery lasts. Charging wattage is also a peak rating, and neither company states how long a full charge takes on either phone.
Rank #2
- 6.78 inches, LTPO AMOLED, 1B colors, 1264 x 2780 pixels

- 162.4 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm (6.39 x 3.00 x 0.33 in)
Software support and storage
Samsung’s commitment is the most specific part of either company’s published material. Up to six generations of Android and One UI upgrades, and up to six years of security updates from the initial global launch, works out to a concrete end date of July 31, 2032 on Samsung India’s page. realme’s cited page confirms the current Android 15 base but does not give an update duration. For buyers who keep phones for several years, that difference carries real weight. The A27 also supports microSD cards up to 2 TB, while the GT 7’s larger built-in storage reduces the need for expansion.

Price difference: what can and cannot be stated
Samsung’s India launch announcement, dated June 30, 2026, set the following prices with sales beginning July 3, 2026:

| 8 GB RAM / 128 GB storage | INR 31,999 |
| 8 GB RAM / 256 GB storage | INR 37,499 |
The same announcement mentions a possible INR 3,000 cashback for eligible payment methods. That offer depends on the buyer’s payment method and on whether it is still running, so it should not be subtracted from the price across the board.
Why an exact difference is not available
No current realme GT 7 price for India was established. realme’s India product page describes the phone but did not show a selling price in the material reviewed. A figure for the GT 7 would also need to match a storage configuration. The GT 7 configuration on realme’s Singapore page is 12 GB/512 GB, which does not correspond to any A27 India variant. Comparing a 512 GB phone with a 128 GB phone would not produce a fair price gap.

How to calculate a valid price difference
- Open the realme India store or an authorised retailer and note the current GT 7 price for the storage tier you want. Record the date and any bank or coupon conditions.
- Find the current Galaxy A27 5G price for the same RAM and storage combination on Samsung India’s store or an authorised retailer. Use the 8 GB/256 GB tier if you want the closest match to a 512 GB configuration, but note that no GT 7 256 GB price was established.
- Subtract the two prices only after both are for the same storage tier, from the same seller type and on the same day.
- Apply cashback or bank offers separately, and only if you qualify for them.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the realme GT 7 if you care most about raw chip performance, a larger battery, fast 120 W charging and a 512 GB built-in storage tier, and you can confirm its local price is competitive.
- Choose the Galaxy A27 5G if you want a longer, clearly documented support window, microSD expansion and a Super AMOLED display at a midrange price point.
- Wait for a current price check before deciding on value, because the only confirmed Indian prices for either phone are launch prices that may have changed since mid-2026.
Limits of this comparison
- The GT 7 figures come from realme’s Singapore page. Memory configurations and supported network bands can vary by country, and realme notes that actual band support depends on local operator deployment.
- The GT 7 display brightness, battery durability and charging figures are manufacturer claims tested under company-defined conditions.
- Samsung’s update commitments are written as policy statements. The actual timing of each update is not guaranteed by the figures alone.
To verify the specifications for your own market, check the product pages from realme and Samsung directly, then compare the storage and price for the same configuration.
