On paper, the realme GT 7 is the higher-tier phone. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, LPDDR5X memory, UFS 4.0 storage and 120W charging. The realme P4 Pro 5G counters with a 144Hz display, a bundled 80W adapter and a 50MP front camera. Both are listed with a 7000mAh typical battery. This comparison covers the India models, using realme’s own India product pages from 2026 as the reference. Specifications alone do not settle which phone performs better, and the current price gap cannot be stated from those pages, so the price section explains how to measure it correctly.
Specs comparison at a glance
| Area | realme GT 7 (India) | realme P4 Pro 5G (India) | What the difference means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 9400e | Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 | GT 7 sits on the higher-tier platform as listed. This is not a measured speed gap. |
| Memory and storage standard | LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 | LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 | GT 7 uses newer memory and storage standards on paper. |
| RAM and storage options | Not stated for every market on the reviewed realme India page | 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB | Compare identical configurations only. |
| Display | 8T LTPO panel; realme advertises 2600Hz instantaneous touch response and up to 6000-nit local peak brightness under 100,000 lux | 6.8-inch, 1280×2800 resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate; realme lists a 6500-nit peak | P4 Pro lists its size, resolution and refresh rate explicitly. The brightness figures use different conditions and are not comparable. |
| Rear cameras | IMX906 OIS main, separate 50MP 2x camera, 8MP ultrawide | 50MP Sony IMX896 OIS main, 8MP ultrawide | GT 7 lists a dedicated 2x camera. P4 Pro lists two rear cameras. |
| Front camera | 32MP | 50MP | P4 Pro has the higher listed selfie resolution. Resolution does not predict final image quality. |
| Video | 4K Dolby Vision capture and additional high-resolution modes, as advertised | Front and rear video up to 4K 60fps, as listed | Both advertise 4K. GT 7 adds Dolby Vision. |
| Battery | 7000mAh typical; 6850mAh rated (dual-cell design, per realme footnote) | 7000mAh typical; 6830mAh minimum | Capacity is close on paper, but the figures use different bases (rated versus minimum). |
| Charging | 120W | 80W, with an adapter in the box | GT 7 has the faster stated charging. Charge time in practice was not tested. |
| Water and dust protection | IP69 listed, with test-condition and wear caveats | Not stated on the reviewed P4 Pro specifications page | Do not infer that P4 Pro lacks protection. The rating is simply not listed there. |
| Software | Version and update commitment not stated on the reviewed page | realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 | Compare update promises only against dated official commitments. |
| In the box | Not stated on the reviewed page | Handset, cable, power adapter, protective case, SIM ejector, quick guide | Confirm packaging in your market before buying. |

Performance: higher tier on paper, unmeasured in practice
The GT 7’s Dimensity 9400e, paired with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0, is the stronger hardware profile in the listed specifications. The P4 Pro’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 is a capable mid-to-upper platform, but it is a step down in the memory and storage generation. Those differences suggest which phone is aimed at heavier workloads. They do not show how either phone handles a long gaming session, thermal throttling or multitasking.
realme’s GT 7 product material states that the phone supports 120 FPS modes for over 20 popular games, offering a near full-frame gaming experience. That is a manufacturer statement about supported modes, not an independent frame-rate or heat test. Readers who play demanding games should look for same-condition reviews before treating the GT 7 as the clear performance choice.

Both phones list a 7000mAh typical battery, which suggests similar endurance on paper. The stated minimum and rated figures differ, though: the GT 7’s 6850mAh is a rated value, while the P4 Pro’s 6830mAh is a minimum. Those are different measurement bases, so the two numbers should not be ranked against each other.

- 162.4 x 76.1 x 8.3 mm (6.39 x 3.00 x 0.33 in)
The charging gap is clearer. The GT 7 is listed at 120W, and the P4 Pro at 80W, with an adapter included in its box. A faster charger matters only if the phone’s battery and thermal design keep that rate sustained, and neither source measured charge time or battery life under real use.
Display
The P4 Pro’s listed specifications are the more straightforward of the two: a 6.8-inch panel at 1280×2800 that refreshes up to 144Hz. For many buyers, that high refresh rate is a more tangible benefit than a higher charging rate.

The GT 7 page highlights an 8T LTPO panel and a 2600Hz instantaneous touch response. Its brightness claim, up to 6000 nits local peak under 100,000 lux, and the P4 Pro’s 6500-nit peak are measured under different labels and conditions. Neither figure is a like-for-like outdoor brightness test, so treat both as manufacturer claims.

The GT 7 uses an IMX906 OIS main, a separate 50MP 2x camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 32MP front camera. The GT 7’s dedicated telephoto-style 2x lens is the most distinctive hardware difference on the rear.

Sensor names and megapixel counts do not decide image quality, which depends on processing, lens quality and lighting. No side-by-side sample set from either phone was reviewed here, so camera superiority cannot be assigned to either model.
Durability, software and what is in the box
The GT 7 carries an IP69 rating on realme’s product page, and that page notes that test conditions apply and that protection can decline with wear. The P4 Pro’s specification page does not list a comparable water or dust rating, which is a gap in the listing rather than evidence of weaker protection.

The P4 Pro ships with realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. The reviewed GT 7 page did not state its software version or update commitment, so the two cannot be compared on update length. The P4 Pro box includes a protective case and 80W adapter, so buyers do not need to add those separately. The GT 7’s included accessories were not stated.

The official India pages do not establish a current selling price for either phone in a matching configuration, so no price gap can be stated here. A price figure from a campaign page, an older listing or a different storage tier would be misleading. To get an accurate comparison on the day you read it:
- Pick one matching configuration for each phone. The P4 Pro is available as 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB, so compare the same RAM and storage pair. Confirm the GT 7 configuration on realme’s India store before comparing.
- Check realme’s official India store and at least one major retailer for each variant. Record the date, seller and city or pin code, since availability can vary.
- Note the cash price before any offers. Then record bank-card discounts, coupons, exchange values and bundled extras separately, along with their conditions and expiry.
- Calculate the difference only between the two cash prices, then show how each offer changes the effective price. Offers often differ between phones, which can shift the gap by more than the headline price.
- Check warranty terms and whether the seller is official before buying. Grey-market units may carry different warranty support.
Which one fits your use
- Choose the GT 7 if you want the higher-tier chipset, newer memory and storage standards, 120W charging, a dedicated 2x rear camera and an IP69 rating, and you can justify the price gap for those features.
- Choose the P4 Pro if a 144Hz display, a 50MP front camera and an adapter in the box matter more to you, and your budget is set by the P4 Pro’s price for the configuration you want.
- Verify before buying the exact regional model, network bands, warranty, software update commitment and package contents in your market, since these can differ from the India listings used here.
Specification differences can guide the choice, but no independent benchmark, battery test or camera comparison was used for this article. Treat every manufacturer figure as realme’s claim.
