The POCO X8 Pro Max has the newer listed chipset, a slightly larger display and the higher official battery-capacity figure. The realme GT 7’s key hardware advantages are a dedicated 2x telephoto camera and a higher-resolution front camera. There is no dependable fixed price winner: comparison-page listings conflict, so compare current prices for the same RAM and storage configuration in your market.
realme GT 7 vs POCO X8 Pro Max at a glance
| Specification | realme GT 7 | POCO X8 Pro Max |
|---|---|---|
| Listed chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, 4nm (realme Singapore specifications) | MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, 3nm (POCO global specifications) |
| Display | 6.78-inch, 1.5K, 120Hz LTPO AMOLED | 6.83-inch, 1.5K, 120Hz AMOLED |
| Stated peak brightness | 6,000 nits (realme’s listed peak figure) | 3,500 nits over 25% of the display area (POCO’s listed figure) |
| Rear cameras listed | 50MP main, 50MP 2x camera, 8MP ultrawide | 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide; no telephoto camera is listed in the comparison |
| Front camera | 32MP | 20MP |
| Battery and charging | 7,000mAh typical (6,850mAh minimum); 120W charging | 8,500mAh typical; 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging |
| Listed memory options | Singapore specifications list 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage | Global specifications list 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB |
These are published specifications, not a controlled test of camera quality, battery life, display brightness or sustained performance. POCO’s official specification gives the X8 Pro Max battery as 8,500mAh typical; the 91mobiles comparison table instead lists 9,000mAh. The manufacturer figure is the more appropriate one to use, and the discrepancy is worth keeping in mind when checking listings. See the POCO X8 Pro Max specifications and realme GT 7 specifications.
Which phone is faster?
POCO lists the Dimensity 9500s, built on a 3nm process, while realme lists the Dimensity 9400e, built on a 4nm process. The POCO therefore has the newer and higher-tier listed chipset in this comparison. 91mobiles also reports higher benchmark scores for the POCO, but those secondary-source results do not guarantee faster performance in every app or during long gaming sessions. Cooling, software, workload and sustained heat can affect real-world behavior; the available specifications do not establish which phone performs better under a controlled sustained-use test.

Which display is larger or brighter?
The POCO’s 6.83-inch screen is slightly larger than the GT 7’s 6.78-inch screen. Both are listed as 1.5K and 120Hz; realme identifies its panel as LTPO AMOLED, while POCO calls its display AMOLED. The listed peak-brightness figures are not directly comparable measurements: POCO specifies 3,500 nits over 25% of the display area, whereas realme lists 6,000 nits peak without the same condition in the cited specification. Those marketing figures alone do not show which screen is brighter in ordinary use or across the whole panel.

How do the cameras differ?
The GT 7 offers more listed rear-camera variety: its 50MP 2x camera provides a dedicated telephoto option alongside the 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide cameras. POCO lists a 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide, with no telephoto camera shown in the comparison. For selfies, realme lists a 32MP front camera and POCO a 20MP one. Sensor resolution and camera count do not establish photo quality; the available evidence does not include hands-on comparisons of image processing, low-light results, video or portrait performance.
Battery capacity and charging
POCO’s official global specification gives the X8 Pro Max an 8,500mAh typical battery, 100W HyperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging. realme lists a 7,000mAh typical battery, with a 6,850mAh minimum, and 120W charging for the GT 7. The POCO has the larger stated capacity, while the GT 7 has the higher listed charging wattage. Capacity and charging ratings do not by themselves establish how long either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in practice; no independently controlled battery or charging test is established here.

Price difference: check the live listing for your configuration
91mobiles’ Indian comparison pages show inconsistent GT 7 listing snapshots. One page displays ₹51,999 for the GT 7 on Amazon and ₹48,999 for the POCO X8 Pro Max on Flipkart; an alternate page displays ₹41,999 for the GT 7 on Flipkart and ₹48,999 for the POCO on Flipkart. These amounts were observed on 7 October 2026, are dynamic seller listings, and are not a verified, like-for-like current price comparison. The conflicting GT 7 figures make it inappropriate to declare a stable price winner.

Before buying, compare the live checkout price for the same RAM and storage, confirm the seller and exact regional model, and check whether discounts or exchange offers change the final amount. The cited realme specifications are for Singapore, while the POCO specifications are global; neither should be assumed to describe every market’s retail configuration.

Regional features and compatibility to verify
Availability can differ by country and carrier. POCO says features such as eSIM and Wi-Fi 7 depend on region or carrier, and realme notes that actual network-band use depends on local operator deployment. Check the specifications for the exact regional version and confirm supported bands and features with your carrier before purchasing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which should you choose?
- Consider the POCO X8 Pro Max if its local price is attractive and you prioritize the newer listed chipset, slightly larger display and greater official stated battery capacity.
- Consider the realme GT 7 if a dedicated 2x telephoto camera or its higher-resolution listed selfie camera better fits how you take photos.
- Compare both live prices when cost is decisive. Use matching memory configurations and regional models rather than relying on the conflicting comparison-page snapshots.
This is a specification-based recommendation, not a hands-on verdict: the published figures identify different strengths but do not settle camera quality, real-world battery life or sustained performance.
