On published specifications, the realme GT 7 has the stronger processor, while the OPPO Reno16c 5G offers a telephoto camera and a dated official India price. The realme GT 7 lists a Dimensity 9400e and 120W charging. The Reno16c, sold in India as model CPH2859, lists a Dimensity 7300-Energy and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Both list the same 7000mAh typical battery capacity. A precise price difference cannot be stated yet, because the only official price table found for the two phones covers the Reno16c, and that table is dated 9 September 2026.
Which versions are being compared
The Reno16c is compared here as the India model, CPH2859, which OPPO’s India product page says was released on 2 July 2026. Reno16-series phones sold in other markets may use different model numbers, memory options or camera hardware, so check the model number on the box or in settings before comparing.
The realme GT 7 specifications come from realme’s global product page. realme’s India launch announcement, dated 27 May 2025, confirms that the GT 7 would be sold in India through realme.com, Amazon.in and other mainline channels. That announcement is more than a year old and does not show current stock. The global page does not set out an India-specific memory or storage table, so the India SKU’s exact configurations should be confirmed on realme’s India product page before you buy.

Processor, memory and storage
MediaTek positions the Dimensity 9400e in its flagship line and the Dimensity 7300 in its mid-range line, so the GT 7 is the more powerful chip on paper. The GT 7 also lists LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, which are the faster types of each. Those published types do not translate into a measured difference in daily speed. Apps, thermal management and software updates all shape real performance, and the sources reviewed contain no benchmark results for either phone.
The Reno16c is offered in three India configurations. If you plan to keep many apps, photos or videos on the phone, the 256GB options give more room than the 128GB base model. Because the Reno16c lists expandable storage, you can add a card later, but the sources reviewed do not state the supported card type or the maximum capacity.

Display
The Reno16c’s 16.69 cm FHD+ AMOLED panel runs at 120Hz, as OPPO states. For the GT 7, realme’s global page describes a high-refresh LTPO display but does not give the size, resolution or refresh rate in the sources reviewed. Treat any claim about the GT 7’s refresh rate as unconfirmed until you see it on the India product page.

The Reno16c has three rear lenses, and its 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera is the feature that sets it apart on paper. The 8MP ultrawide lens is a much lower resolution than the main sensor, so its photos will look different from the main camera’s. Megapixel counts alone do not predict image quality, so compare the lens roles and video modes instead.

The sources reviewed contain no rear camera details for the GT 7, so this article cannot say which phone takes better photos. If camera quality matters most to you, check independent camera reviews of the exact GT 7 model you are considering.
Battery and charging
Both phones list a 7000mAh typical battery, and both list a 6850mAh rated figure. In both cases, the typical number is the one a manufacturer uses for its own laboratory testing, and the rated number is the lower, more conservative figure. Neither figure tells you how long the phone lasts in real use.

The charging difference is larger. realme’s global page lists 120W charging for the GT 7, while OPPO lists 80W SUPERVOOC for the Reno16c. Charging wattage on the GT 7’s India version should be checked on realme’s India product page. The charging speed you see in practice depends on the charger, cable and battery temperature, and the sources reviewed contain no controlled charging test.
Durability and storage expansion
The GT 7 is rated IP69 on realme’s global page. IP69 covers high-pressure, high-temperature water jets as well as dust and immersion protection under the standard’s test conditions. The Reno16c’s water and dust rating is not stated in the sources reviewed, so the GT 7 has the only published rating of the two. Confirm the rating on the India product page if you plan to use the phone in wet conditions.
Price difference: what can and cannot be stated
The only official price table found covers the Reno16c, and it is dated 9 September 2026. OPPO says prices are subject to change, so these figures are a snapshot rather than a live quote. Third-party comparison pages list a price for the GT 7, but those figures are not dated official or retailer prices, so this article does not use them.
To work out the difference yourself:
- Choose the storage tier you want. The Reno16c has 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB options at ₹49,999, ₹53,999 and ₹59,999.
- Open realme’s India product page and OPPO’s India product page on the same day, or check them through a named retailer or manufacturer store.
- Find the GT 7 price for the same RAM and storage combination. If only one configuration is offered, compare the closest match and say so.
- Subtract the Reno16c price from the GT 7 price for each matching tier. Compare list prices with list prices, and do not compare a bank or launch offer on one phone with a plain list price on the other.
- Note the date you checked, because prices change.
Which phone suits which buyer
- Performance and charging speed: the GT 7 has the stronger published chip and the faster rated charging, which matters most to heavy gamers and people who want the shortest charging sessions.
- Telephoto photography and a published price: the Reno16c has a 3.5x optical telephoto camera and a dated official India price for three storage tiers.
- Water and dust protection: the GT 7’s published IP69 rating is the only one of the two in the sources reviewed.
- Battery life: the two phones list identical battery capacities, so neither has a published advantage here.
Before buying, confirm the exact model number, storage configuration and price for the India version you intend to buy, since the GT 7 details here come from its global page.
