realme did announce a Diwali-themed realme 16 Series Promotion Festival, but it ran only from September 23 to September 27, 2026, so it has ended as of October 7, 2026. The announcement does not publish model-level prices, discount amounts, No Cost EMI rules or any car prize. The “car up for grabs” part of the claim is not backed by any official 2026 terms we could find.
What realme officially announced
The realme Community’s official administrator posted the announcement on September 23, 2026. It opens with “Diwali just got a whole lot more exciting!” and promises “exclusive offers on the realme 16 Series,” available “from 23rd–27th September.”
That is the full extent of what the post confirms: the series, the dates and the Diwali framing. It lists no prices, bank discounts, EMI terms or prizes. The realme India homepage also carried a “REAL WALI DIWALI” banner with “Offers Revealed,” but the text we could access gave no offer details.
Is the window still open?
No. The announced dates ended on September 27, 2026. Any page presenting the festival as live or “ending soon” is out of date. realme may run other Diwali promotions, but nothing we found describes one with specific terms.

These are live store figures for one model. They are not identified as the September festival price, and they apply to the realme store only. realme’s Terms of Sales say: “Offers, prices, specifications and availability may change or be withdrawn without notice.” The MRP is also a reference price, so the ₹20,000 gap is not a measure of what other retailers charge.
How No Cost EMI works at checkout
The store says EMI options appear at checkout only when both the product and your payment card qualify. A No Cost EMI label on a product page therefore does not guarantee you will see it. Before paying:

Is the Diwali lucky draw with a car real?
Not verified. No official 2026 terms we located mention a car. The official lucky-draw terms that do exist describe a 2025 contest running September 9 to October 27, 2025. Its rewards are coupons toward a realme “surprise product” (face values of ₹2,000, ₹1,800, ₹1,500, ₹1,000 and ₹500) plus realme coins. It does not offer a car.
Those 2025 terms do not prove that no separate 2026 draw exists. They simply cannot be used to support a car prize either. Until realme publishes terms naming the prize, eligibility and dates, treat car-prize claims as unconfirmed. Be especially careful with messages, social posts or links asking for payment, personal details or OTPs to “claim” a prize. Use only the official realme site, store or Community.
