The realme 16 has the bigger battery and faster wired charging on its listed specifications. The Nothing Phone (4b) has the larger screen, a rear camera set that includes an ultrawide lens, and the more clearly documented software-support promise. Whether the price difference is worth it depends on which phone is actually on sale where you live, and on whether you can get Nothing’s bank or exchange offer, because the prices in circulation are not all the same kind of number.
Specifications side by side
The table below uses the listed specifications from a 91mobiles side-by-side comparison page accessed on 4 October 2026, cross-checked against Nothing’s official July 2026 launch announcement where Nothing published the figure. No official realme 16 specification page was available to confirm the realme figures, so treat them as secondary-source values.
| Category | realme 16 | Nothing Phone (4b) | What the difference means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.57-inch Flexible AMOLED, 1080 × 2372, 120 Hz | 6.77-inch Super AMOLED, 1080 × 2344, 120 Hz | Nothing’s screen is larger; both are listed at 120 Hz. |
| Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo | Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 | Different platforms. Clock speeds alone do not show real performance. |
| Rear cameras | 50 MP main + 2 MP mono | 50 MP main + 8 MP ultrawide | Nothing offers an ultrawide lens; the listings do not show which phone takes better photos. |
| Front camera | 50 MP | 16 MP | realme has the higher stated resolution, which does not by itself mean better selfies. |
| Battery | 7,000 mAh | 6,000 mAh | realme has the larger capacity. This is not a battery-life test. |
| Charging | 60 W wired | 33 W wired | realme charges faster on the listed wired figures. |
| RAM and storage | 8 GB / 12 GB RAM, 128 GB storage (comparison listing) | 6 GB / 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage (comparison listing); Nothing’s launch pricing covers 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB | Configurations differ by market. Confirm the exact model you are buying. |
| Android version | Android 16 | Android 16 with Nothing OS 4.1 | Both ship on Android 16. |
| Update promise | Three years of OS updates and four years of security updates (comparison page) | Three years of Android updates and six years of security patches (Nothing launch announcement) | Nothing’s commitment comes from the manufacturer; realme’s figures are not yet confirmed on an official realme regional page. |
Display: larger screen versus the same refresh rate
The Nothing Phone (4b) has the larger panel, at 6.77 inches against 6.57 inches. Both are listed at 120 Hz, so smoothness claims rest on the same refresh rate. The Nothing panel is 2344 pixels tall against realme’s 2372, a difference too small to matter in everyday viewing. Choose the Nothing if a bigger screen is the priority; the specifications do not establish a difference in panel quality beyond size and panel type.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteCameras: more lenses on Nothing, more resolution on realme
Rear cameras
Both phones use a 50 MP main camera. realme adds a 2 MP mono sensor, while Nothing adds an 8 MP ultrawide. For most buyers the ultrawide is the more useful extra, since it covers wider group shots and landscapes. A mono sensor is a specialised add-on, and a 2 MP unit does not offer the flexibility of a dedicated ultrawide lens. Neither listing establishes which phone produces better photos in practice; that requires side-by-side shooting under identical conditions, which is not in the evidence.

Front cameras
realme’s 50 MP selfie camera has roughly three times the stated resolution of Nothing’s 16 MP unit. Resolution is only one part of image quality, however, and the listed specifications do not show whether realme’s selfies look better than Nothing’s.
Battery and charging
The realme 16 is the stronger phone on paper here. Its 7,000 mAh battery is 1,000 mAh larger than the Nothing’s 6,000 mAh, and its 60 W wired charging is nearly double the Nothing’s 33 W. Capacity and wired wattage do not translate directly into hours of use, because screen size, chipset efficiency and software settings all affect how long a charge lasts. The figures indicate what each phone is designed to offer; they are not measured endurance results.

Chipset and performance
The realme 16 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 Turbo and the Nothing Phone (4b) uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4. The comparison source reports an AnTuTu score of 611,679 for the realme 16 and no score for the Nothing Phone (4b). That single figure cannot be used as a head-to-head result, and it does not establish which phone is faster in daily use, gaming or sustained workloads.

Software and update support
Nothing’s support commitment is the better-documented of the two. Its July 2026 launch announcement lists three Android version updates and six years of security patches. The realme 16 comparison page lists three years of OS updates and four years of security updates. Because no official realme regional page confirmed these figures, the realme commitment should be verified for your country before you rely on it. A longer security window matters most if you plan to keep the phone for several years.

Price difference: the numbers are not like-for-like
The two phones are not priced the same way in the evidence, so the difference should be read with care. The table separates list prices, effective prices and third-party snapshots.
| Source and date | Model | Price | Conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles comparison page, India, accessed 4 October 2026 | realme 16 | ₹32,499 on Amazon | Third-party snapshot of a seller listing, not a guaranteed offer. The RAM configuration behind this price is not stated. |

| Nothing launch announcement, India, July 2026 | Nothing Phone (4b), 8 GB + 256 GB | ₹33,699 effective | Requires the same 7.5% instant bank discount and exchange offer. |
| Nothing launch announcement, UK and Europe, July 2026 | Nothing Phone (4b), 8 GB + 128 GB | £299 / €329 | Launch pricing as stated in the announcement; taxes and promotions vary. |
| Nothing Malaysia product page, accessed 4 October 2026 | Nothing Phone (4b), 8 GB + 128 GB | MYR 1,499 shown alongside MYR 1,599 | The page displayed both figures for this listing; check the store for the price that applies to you. |
In the India figures, the realme 16’s ₹32,499 sits ₹2,500 below Nothing’s ₹34,999 list price for the 8 GB + 128 GB model. It sits ₹2,500 above Nothing’s ₹29,999 effective price, but that effective price only applies with a bank discount and exchange offer. No realme 16 price for the UK, Europe or Malaysia was established in the evidence, so a like-for-like price comparison outside India is not possible from these figures.

Which phone suits which buyer
- Choose the realme 16 if battery capacity, fast wired charging and a higher front-camera resolution matter most, and the seller price at checkout is lower than the Nothing offer you can actually get.
- Choose the Nothing Phone (4b) if you want the larger screen, an ultrawide rear camera or the better-documented six-year security promise, and the effective price (or a comparable offer) applies in your market.
- Be cautious with either if you cannot confirm the RAM and storage configuration, the current stock or the local update policy.
How to check the price before you buy
- Confirm the RAM and storage configuration you are buying. The comparison listing shows different RAM options for each phone.
- Check the price at the final checkout step on the seller’s page, including any coupons, rather than on a comparison page.
- For the Nothing Phone (4b), check whether your bank card qualifies for the 7.5% instant discount and whether your old phone is eligible for the exchange offer.
- Check the stock status on the official Nothing store or a retailer you trust before assuming the phone is available.
