How is the standard realme 16 different from the Pro models?
The standard realme 16 5G is the less expensive model in the lineup as reported at launch. It has a Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor, a 120Hz FHD+ display, Wi-Fi 5, and 60W charging. Local launch coverage describes the Pro and Pro+ as using different chipsets and 80W charging, and lists higher-resolution, higher-refresh-rate displays and Wi-Fi 6 for the Pro models.
Do not apply Pro-series camera or video claims to the standard phone: the Pakistan specifications list 1080p maximum video recording for both the standard model’s front and rear cameras. The Pro-series prices above are also separate launch-period figures, not evidence of current prices.
What should buyers verify before purchasing?
- Confirm the seller’s current price and that the phone is the 8GB/256GB standard realme 16 5G, rather than a Pro-series model.
- Ask about stock, local warranty, and what is included in the specific unit being sold.
- Check your carrier’s deployed 5G bands and coverage; the phone does not support eSIM.
- If fitting a screen protector, note realme’s warning that tinted or low-transmission protectors may block the hidden light-sensor opening.
Realme’s Pakistan page lists a charger, USB cable, SIM ejector tool, protective case, quick guide, and safety guide in the box, but says contents can vary by market. Confirm package contents with the seller.
