The vivo T5 Pro 5G has the larger rated battery and higher charging wattage; the realme 16 Pro 5G has a higher-resolution main camera and a 50MP front camera. Both advertise 144Hz AMOLED displays, but their chipsets and camera setups differ. A reliable current price difference cannot be calculated from the available official listings: vivo’s launch prices and later store price differ, while a usable realme India price was not available. Compare matching RAM and storage variants at checkout.
How the realme 16 Pro and vivo T5 Pro compare
The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not results from matched independent testing. realme’s memory configurations come from its global specifications, while the vivo configurations are listed for India; availability may vary by market.

There is no defensible like-for-like current price difference to quote from these official listings. vivo’s India announcement on April 21, 2026 gave launch prices of ₹29,999 for 8GB+128GB, ₹33,999 for 8GB+256GB, and ₹39,999 for 12GB+256GB. Those are launch prices, not a promise of today’s price. The announcement also described conditional launch offers, including up to ₹3,000 via card/UPI discount or exchange bonus and up to six months’ no-cost EMI; terms applied.

When accessed on October 7, 2026, vivo’s India E-Store displayed ₹41,999 for the selected 8GB+128GB T5 Pro, with an MRP of ₹55,999. Store prices can change. realme’s official India materials confirmed the model but did not provide a usable current variant price in the listing reviewed. Check both official listings on the same day and compare the same RAM/storage capacity before treating the difference as meaningful.

Battery and charging: vivo has the larger ratings
vivo lists a 9020mAh battery and 90W charging; realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 80W charging. On the stated capacities and wattages, vivo has the advantage. These are manufacturer figures, however, not a matched battery-life or charging-time test. Screen use, network conditions, software, and charging conditions affect real-world results.
Camera hardware: different strengths, no proven photo winner
realme specifies a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP front camera. vivo specifies a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, a 2MP bokeh camera, and a 32MP front camera. realme offers the higher stated pixel counts and a dedicated ultrawide; vivo’s listed secondary rear camera is for bokeh. Megapixels and component lists alone do not show which phone produces better photos or video. That requires comparable image samples and testing.

Displays: both advertise 144Hz, but brightness figures are not directly comparable
Both phones list AMOLED panels with refresh rates up to 144Hz. The realme display is 6.78 inches at 1272 × 2772; vivo’s is 6.83 inches at 2800 × 1260. realme states 6500 nits as an APL brightness figure, while vivo promotes up to 5000 nits local peak brightness. APL and local peak brightness describe different measurement conditions, so those numbers should not be read as a direct brightness contest.

Chipsets
The realme uses MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G; the vivo uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. There is no matched benchmark or sustained-performance test here to establish which is faster in everyday use, gaming, or long workloads. Do not choose solely from the chipset names.

Build and protection
realme’s India page lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings and describes them as certifications to the respective IEC 60529 requirements. vivo’s official materials describe IP68 and IP69 durability. These are the manufacturers’ stated claims; they do not establish identical test conditions or equivalent protection in every situation.

Weight and software
The global realme specifications list a weight of about 192g, while vivo’s India store lists 213g. These figures have different source-market contexts, so confirm the exact variant and local listing. realme specifies realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16; vivo specifies OriginOS 6.0 based on Android 16. The available information does not establish a full update-support comparison, so check each brand’s current support commitments if update longevity is a deciding factor.
