The realme 16 Pro 5G lists a 144Hz display, a 200MP OIS main camera and 80W charging; the vivo T5 5G lists a Dimensity 7500 processor, a 7050mAh battery and IP68/IP69 protection claims. Those are published specifications, not results from side-by-side testing. Which is the better buy depends on which features matter to you—and on current prices for matching RAM and storage versions.
realme 16 Pro vs vivo T5 5G: key specifications
The figures below come from the manufacturers’ India pages and vivo’s official India store listing. realme’s cited specification page does not state a price; vivo’s store price is for a different memory configuration than the dated realme price cited later in this article.

Which phone has the better display?
Both phones list AMOLED panels, but their published refresh rates differ: the realme 16 Pro is rated up to 144Hz, while the vivo T5 5G is listed at 120Hz. A higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported motion appear smoother, but it does not by itself establish image quality, brightness, or how often the phone uses that rate. realme lists a 17.22cm FHD+ panel; vivo lists a larger 6.83-inch panel with 2800 × 1260 resolution. Check the phones in person if screen size, resolution, or motion smoothness is a deciding factor.
Camera comparison: 200MP vs 50MP
realme lists a 200MP main camera with two-axis OIS, plus an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP selfie camera. vivo’s store listing identifies a 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 32MP front camera. realme specifies rear 4K recording at 30fps; vivo advertises 4K recording on both front and rear cameras.

The realme’s higher megapixel count does not prove that it takes better photos. Sensor performance, image processing, focus, stabilization and shooting conditions all matter, and the available specifications do not establish a controlled camera-test winner.
Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 7050mAh battery, compared with realme’s 7000mAh typical capacity (6830mAh rated). The capacity figures are close, and they do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use; screen settings, signal strength, software and workload affect runtime.

On rated charging, realme lists 80W Ultra Charge and vivo’s official store lists a 44W charger. The ratings indicate a specification advantage for realme, but do not establish actual charging time under comparable conditions.

Processors
The listed processors are MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G in the realme 16 Pro and Dimensity 7500 in the vivo T5 5G. Chip names alone are not a reliable substitute for comparable performance tests, and no controlled side-by-side speed or thermal results are established here. vivo also advertises “up to 233% Faster On-Device AI” with a stated comparison context on its product page; this is vivo’s marketing claim, not an independently verified general speed result.

Dust and water resistance
vivo explicitly advertises IP68 and IP69 dust/water resistance and military-grade durability for the T5 5G. The cited realme specification page does not establish a comparable protection rating. Before choosing based on protection, check the official claim for the exact realme variant and read the manufacturers’ terms; a rating or durability claim should not be treated as a guarantee against every kind of damage.

The available prices do not support a precise current price difference because they refer to different memory configurations and were recorded at different times.

| Phone and configuration | Price evidence | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| realme 16 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB | ₹31,999 reported by realme Community India on January 6, 2026, as a launch-period price; the post also mentioned a ₹3,000 bank offer. Source | Dated launch-period report, not a verified current price. |
| vivo T5 5G, 6GB+128GB, Royal Bronze | ₹34,999 displayed by vivo’s official India store listing when accessed in 2026. Source | A different RAM configuration; the live price may change. |
For a fair comparison, check both official stores or trusted retailers on the day you buy. Match RAM and storage, and compare the listed price separately from bank discounts, exchange offers and any color-based price variation. Do not infer that one phone currently costs a fixed amount more from the two figures above.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the realme 16 Pro if
- You prefer its listed up-to-144Hz display over the vivo’s 120Hz rating.
- You want a 200MP OIS main-camera specification and 50MP front camera, while recognizing that megapixels alone do not determine photo quality.
- You value its listed 80W charging rating.
- You need one of its listed 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB or 12GB+256GB configurations.
Consider the vivo T5 5G if
- Its Dimensity 7500 processor is the better fit for your priorities, subject to real-world performance evidence for your intended use.
- You value vivo’s published IP68/IP69 and military-grade durability claims.
- You prefer its listed 7050mAh battery or 4K front-camera recording.
- You want to consider the additional 6GB+128GB option listed by vivo.
Neither specification sheet establishes a universal winner. Make the final call using the features you will use and the current price of the exact RAM/storage variant you plan to buy.
