Before launch, a report listed expected India prices of ₹31,999 to ₹44,999 for the realme 16 Pro 5G and realme 16 Pro+ 5G. A separate report described a free pre-booking backpack valued at ₹7,999, alongside bank and EMI incentives. These were launch-period reports, not confirmation of current prices or an active offer.
What were the reported launch prices?
On January 2, 2026, Moneycontrol reported prices attributed to tipster Paras Guglani. The figures below were pre-launch leak expectations, not prices announced by Moneycontrol as confirmed official prices.
| Model | RAM and storage | Reported expected price |
|---|---|---|
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 8GB / 128GB | ₹31,999 |
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 8GB / 256GB | ₹33,999 |
| realme 16 Pro 5G | 12GB / 256GB | ₹36,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 8GB / 128GB | ₹39,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 8GB / 256GB | ₹41,999 |
| realme 16 Pro+ 5G | 12GB / 256GB | ₹44,999 |
Moneycontrol’s January 2 report covered these six India configurations. Treat them as leak-era expected prices, not a guaranteed launch price or a current checkout quote.
What did Realme confirm about launch timing?
Realme India published an official price-reveal video on January 6, 2026. Its description said, “Prices revealed,” and stated that sale for the 16 Series would start January 9 at noon. The description does not provide a numerical price table, so the six amounts above remain attributed to the earlier secondary report rather than to that video.

What was the ₹7,999 offer?
Gizmochina reported on December 31, 2025 that customers who pre-booked could receive a free backpack valued at ₹7,999. The same report listed a 10% instant discount capped at ₹4,000, zero down payment, and 12-month no-cost EMI. These were reported historical launch incentives; the report does not establish that they remain available or that every buyer qualified. The ₹89 in the original headline was an approximate contemporaneous currency conversion, not a US price.
Gizmochina’s report on the pre-booking offers is not an official offer document. The evidence available here does not independently verify the backpack’s terms or current availability, so do not treat it as an active deal.

Prices reported later differ from the leak-era figures. 91mobiles reported revised India prices effective May 18, 2026. Those are dated secondary-reported prices, not a live October 2026 quote.

What should you check before buying?
- Exact configuration: Confirm the selected model and RAM/storage tier; prices differ across variants.
- Price type: Distinguish a listed price from a bank or exchange offer and from the final amount at checkout. Eligibility, dates, and payment conditions can affect the offer price.
- Seller and warranty: Verify the seller and warranty region for the unit being sold. The official Realme India store catalogue lists both models, but a listing alone does not establish a particular seller’s price or terms.
- Current total: Check the final checkout amount and any delivery, payment, or exchange conditions before placing an order. Realme’s terms say prices, offers, specifications, and availability may change or be withdrawn without notice.
What are the realme 16 Pro specifications?

The pages list Wi-Fi 6, realme UI 7.0 based on Android, and 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB configurations.
These details are for the realme 16 Pro 5G; do not assume the Pro+ has identical hardware. Specifications and radio bands can vary by market. Consult Realme India’s realme 16 Pro product page and its specification page for the listed India-market information.
