The realme 16 Pro+ 5G is the more screen- and battery-focused choice on paper, while the vivo V70 Elite lists a higher-tier Snapdragon platform, faster wired charging, and IP68/IP69 ratings. Their configurations do not line up exactly, and observed prices vary by source and variant, so compare the storage tier and live listing before deciding.

What is the realme 16 Pro Plus price difference?
Price observations are not a like-for-like official comparison. On 2026-10-07, vivo India’s store showed ₹71,999 for the selected V70 Elite 12GB+256GB Authentic Black variant, against an MRP of ₹89,999, and marked it out of stock. The same store listed other configurations, but that displayed price was specifically for 12GB+256GB. See the vivo India store listing.

Which phone has the better display?
realme lists the larger display and higher maximum refresh rate: 17.27 cm (6.8-inch class), 1280 × 2800 pixels, and up to 144 Hz. vivo’s V70 Elite display is 16.74 cm (6.59 inches), 2750 × 1260 pixels, and up to 120 Hz. Choose realme if screen size and the stated refresh ceiling matter most; the figures alone do not prove which panel looks better in everyday use.
Brightness figures are not directly comparable because the manufacturers report different measurement labels. realme lists 600 nit normal, 1000 nit via the settings bar, 1800 nit HBM, and 6500 nit APL; it also specifies Gorilla Glass 7i. vivo lists 5000 nits local peak brightness. Do not read these unlike figures as a controlled brightness ranking.

How do the processors and storage differ?
The V70 Elite lists the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the realme 16 Pro+ lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The vivo also specifies UFS 4.1 storage versus UFS 3.1 on realme; both list LPDDR5X RAM. These are platform and storage specifications, not independent benchmark results, so they do not by themselves quantify gaming frame rates, heat, or sustained performance.
Configuration matters: realme’s least expensive tier starts at 8GB+128GB, a capacity not listed for vivo. Both offer 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB; vivo additionally lists 12GB+512GB. Neither provides expandable storage according to the cited manufacturer specifications.

How do the cameras compare?
Both phones have three rear cameras, including a 50 MP telephoto and an 8 MP ultra-wide. realme lists a 200 MP main camera; vivo lists a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera and describes its telephoto as ZEISS with autofocus and optical image stabilization. Both list 50 MP front cameras.
Megapixel counts and feature labels describe hardware, not resulting image quality. The available specifications do not establish a controlled camera comparison, so they cannot support a firm claim that either phone takes better photos.

Battery, charging, and protection
realme lists a 7000 mAh typical battery, with 6850 mAh rated capacity, and charging up to 80W. vivo lists a 6500 mAh typical battery and 90W charging. The capacities favor realme on paper, while vivo has the higher stated charging wattage; neither figure establishes actual battery endurance or time to charge.

vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ingress ratings. The cited realme specifications do not state an IP rating, which should not be treated as proof that the phone has no protection; it means a comparable rating is not established by that page.
Which is better for your priorities?
- Consider the realme 16 Pro+ if you prioritize the larger stated display, up-to-144 Hz refresh, larger nominal battery, or a 128GB entry configuration.
- Consider the vivo V70 Elite if you prioritize its listed Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform, 90W charging, IP68/IP69 ratings, UFS 4.1 storage, or the telephoto’s stated AF and OIS features.
- Compare exact variants if you want to decide on price: 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB are the shared capacity tiers, while their current price and stock need to be checked at purchase.
Those are specification-based preferences, not a universal winner. The cited sources do not establish comparative real-world camera quality, sustained gaming performance, battery life, software-update commitments, or value at a future sale price.
