Specifications are from the realme India product page and vivo India product page. They describe manufacturer-listed features, not comparative lab results.
Which phone has the better display?
The realme 16 5G uses AMOLED, while the vivo T5x 5G uses LCD. The realme’s 6.57-inch screen is smaller, and the vivo’s 6.76-inch screen gives you more stated diagonal viewing area. Both are listed at up to 120Hz. Choose realme if AMOLED is the priority; choose vivo if you prefer the larger screen. The specifications alone do not establish which display looks better in person.
Performance, storage and memory
realme lists a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo; vivo lists a Dimensity 7400-Turbo. Those model names and manufacturer specifications are not a substitute for a comparable independent test, so they do not establish which phone will feel faster in everyday use or demanding games.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm), Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm)
- Rear: 200 MP, f/1.9, 23mm (wide), 1/1.56", 0.5µm, dual-pixel PDAF, OIS, 8 MP, 112˚, (ultrawide), 1/4.0", 1.12µm, Front: 50 MP, f/2.4, 23mm (wide), 1/2.88", 0.61µm
Both phones use LPDDR4X RAM, but their storage differs: realme specifies UFS 2.2 and microSD support, while vivo specifies UFS 3.1 and no ROM expansion. If you keep a lot of photos, videos or downloaded media on the phone, the realme’s expandable storage may be useful; the vivo’s listed internal storage uses the newer UFS version.
Compare configurations that actually match. Both manufacturers list an 8GB+128GB option and an 8GB+256GB option. realme also offers 12GB+256GB, while vivo offers 6GB+128GB. A price comparison between different memory or storage tiers can make one phone appear cheaper without being like-for-like.
Rank #2
- 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
- 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
- Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm), Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm)

Camera comparison: resolution is not the whole story
Both phones list a 50MP main rear camera and a secondary 2MP rear camera; realme identifies its secondary camera as monochrome. realme lists a 50MP front camera, compared with vivo’s 32MP front camera. These megapixel counts do not by themselves predict detail, low-light performance, color or overall image quality. The available specifications do not establish a tested camera winner.
Battery capacity and charging
realme specifies a 7000mAh typical battery capacity (6830mAh rated) and 60W charging. vivo specifies 7200mAh and 44W charging. The vivo therefore has the higher stated capacity, while realme lists the higher charging wattage. Neither figure is a head-to-head endurance or charging-time result: real-world battery life and charging speed depend on usage and conditions.

Price difference: compare the same variant at checkout
There is no dependable fixed price gap to quote without checking current listings. Indexed prices vary by date, seller, configuration and offer. The vivo India Store has displayed ₹27,999 for a 6GB+128GB T5x and ₹34,999 for an 8GB+256GB T5x; those are variant-specific listings, not a direct comparison with a matching realme configuration. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot has also shown different prices, which underscores why older indexed figures should not be treated as current checkout prices.
- Choose a matching configuration—preferably 8GB+128GB or 8GB+256GB, both of which are listed for each phone.
- Check both phones at the same retailer and note the exact seller, stock status and storage tier.
- Compare the checkout total after any offers, bank discounts, exchange conditions and delivery charges; record the date because prices can change.
For current listings, see the 91mobiles comparison and vivo India Store listing, then verify the actual seller price and variant before buying.
