The realme 15T 5G and realme 16 5G share several headline specs, including a 120 Hz AMOLED display, 50 MP front and main cameras, a 7000 mAh typical battery and 60 W charging. The realme 16 lists a slightly higher peak-brightness rating and different chipset and storage specifications, but those figures alone do not establish which phone is faster or takes better photos. For price, compare the same RAM and storage configuration: the 15T’s published India launch prices are historical, and the available realme 16 store figures do not clearly identify their price conditions.
realme 15T vs realme 16: specifications at a glance
This comparison covers the India-market realme 15T 5G and realme 16 5G. It does not cover the realme 16T or either Pro model. The table uses manufacturer specifications for hardware; brightness values are advertised peak ratings, not independent measurements.

Display: a small gap in peak-brightness ratings
Both phones have the same stated resolution and refresh-rate ceiling. The realme 16’s peak-brightness rating is 4200 nits, compared with 4000 nits for the 15T. These are manufacturer figures; peak brightness does not by itself establish how bright the whole display stays during ordinary use or in sustained conditions.

Performance and storage: different labels, no proven speed winner
The 15T lists a Dimensity 6400 Max 5G chipset, while the 16 lists a Dimensity 6400 Turbo. The 16’s specification page also identifies UFS 2.2 storage; the cited 15T specification page does not state a storage type. Without a directly comparable independent benchmark, these labels are not enough to claim a meaningful everyday performance lead for either phone.
Cameras: matching megapixel counts do not settle image quality
Each phone lists a 50 MP front camera and a 50 MP main or wide rear camera alongside a 2 MP monochrome camera. Both list video recording up to 1080p at 60 fps. Similar headline resolution figures do not prove equal photo quality, and the published specifications alone do not establish a camera winner.

Battery and charging: the listed capacities match
Realme lists a 7000 mAh typical battery and 60 W charging for both India models. Capacity and charging ratings do not determine how long a phone lasts for a particular person; actual battery life depends on use and conditions. Realme’s product descriptions and usage-duration claims are manufacturer statements, not comparative independent tests.

A realme India store comparison displayed ₹36,999 and ₹41,999 beside the realme 16 5G, but the available listing information does not make clear whether those are list prices, sale prices or conditional offers. It therefore does not support a dependable current price gap against the 15T. Check the realme India store and retailer listings for live terms and availability.
Compare like with like
Use matching RAM and storage tiers and check both prices on the same date. Do not compare a base 8/128 GB listing with a 12/256 GB listing and call the difference a model premium.

When recording a price, distinguish the ordinary selling price from a bank discount, exchange value or other conditional offer. Confirm the country, exact model name, configuration, seller, stock and offer conditions before buying.
Which phone should you choose?
There is no supported current price-value winner without same-date prices for matching configurations. If the realme 15T is materially cheaper for the storage tier you want, its listed core display, camera-resolution, battery-capacity and charging figures are close to the 16’s. Consider the realme 16 if its live price and features suit you better, but do not treat its chipset name or modestly higher peak-brightness rating as proof of a large performance or viewing advantage.
