The realme 15 Pro 5G has the stronger headline hardware on paper: a faster maximum refresh rate, larger stated battery, higher-tier listed processor, and 50 MP ultrawide camera. The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G counters with a Super AMOLED display, IP64 rating, and a stated software-support commitment of up to six Android/One UI upgrades and six years of security updates. Neither specification sheet proves which phone lasts longer per charge or takes better photos.
For India, the available prices are dated and do not establish a current like-for-like price gap. Compare the exact RAM and storage variants currently offered before deciding. realme specifications below are from its Singapore page, while Samsung’s cited launch prices are for India; configurations may differ by market.

Which phone has the better display?
The realme lists a 6.8-inch 1280 × 2800 display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Samsung lists a slightly smaller 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a maximum refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The realme’s published figures favor size, resolution, and peak refresh rate; Samsung specifies the panel technology. These figures alone do not establish brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability, or how consistently either phone uses its maximum refresh rate.

How do their processors and configurations compare?
The realme Singapore page names Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and lists configurations up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Samsung lists the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and three Galaxy A27 5G options: 6 GB/128 GB, 8 GB/128 GB, and 8 GB/256 GB. The chip names and memory ceilings are useful buying clues, but they are not a substitute for comparable performance tests; this comparison has no benchmark results.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
Both phones list a 50 MP main rear camera. The realme’s Singapore specification page also lists a 50 MP ultrawide. Samsung lists a 5 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro camera, and specifies optical image stabilization (OIS) for its 50 MP wide camera. Samsung lists a 12 MP front camera; the cited realme page does not state a front-camera specification.
Megapixel counts and camera hardware do not establish image quality. There is no comparative camera test here, so the specifications cannot identify a reliable winner for portraits, night shots, video, or everyday photos.

Battery capacity and charging: the paper advantage is realme’s
realme lists a 7,000 mAh battery and 80 W charging; Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 25 W charging. Those are rated capacities and charging specifications, not measured endurance or charging-time results. Actual battery life depends on use and conditions, and the figures alone cannot establish how long either phone lasts for a particular owner.
Samsung’s stated software support and durability details
Samsung says the Galaxy A27 5G is eligible for up to six Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from its initial global launch. These are maximum commitments, not a guarantee that every update arrives on the same date in every market. The cited Samsung product information also lists Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and an IP64 water- and dust-resistance rating.
The available realme source does not establish a comparable software-support commitment or an IP rating. That absence in the cited specification page should not be treated as proof that no such information exists for every regional model.

India prices: what the dated figures do—and do not—show
The following figures are snapshots from 2026 sources, not live quotes. Samsung Newsroom India announced the Galaxy A27 5G launch prices on June 30, 2026. Gadgets Now’s comparison page was marked updated August 6, 2026. The Samsung buy page later displayed a different amount for a selected configuration, illustrating why the launch price should not be treated as today’s checkout price.

The ₹34,900 realme listing is for 8 GB/256 GB, while the Samsung comparison listing of ₹31,999 is for 8 GB/128 GB; they are not equivalent storage tiers. The separate Samsung buy-page figure is also not the same as its announced launch price. Which one should you buy?
Choose the realme 15 Pro if its regional version fits your needs
- You prioritize the listed 144 Hz maximum refresh rate, higher display resolution, or larger display.
- You want the higher stated battery capacity and charging rate.
- You value a 50 MP ultrawide camera specification or need a configuration listed with more RAM or storage.
Choose the Galaxy A27 5G if its trade-offs suit you
- You prefer Samsung’s specified Super AMOLED panel and an IP64 rating.
- You place substantial value on Samsung’s stated maximum update commitment.
- You want a particular listed Samsung configuration and can verify its current price against the realme variant with equivalent storage.
Before buying, confirm the exact model and configuration sold in your country. The realme hardware figures cited here come from its Singapore specification page, and Samsung notes that features and configurations can vary by market. If camera quality, gaming speed, or all-day battery life will decide the purchase, seek testing of the same regional versions rather than treating specifications as proof.
