On published specifications, the realme 15 Pro 5G leads on refresh rate, wired charging wattage and front-camera resolution. The OnePlus N6 5G has the larger battery and, on a comparison-page snapshot dated 4 October 2026, a displayed Amazon price ₹9,800 lower. Neither spec sheet shows which phone performs better day to day, and the price gap is a volatile listing figure, not a guaranteed cost.

The two phones at a glance

The realme 15 Pro 5G launched in 2025 and the OnePlus N6 5G is the newer model, launched in India in June 2026. The table below lines up the figures each company publishes, with the comparison page used where the manufacturer pages do not give a value.

Launch dates and what they mean

Two dates matter for the comparison, and they are easy to mix up.

  • Android 14, Qualcomm SM7435-AB Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (4 nm), Octa-core (4x2.40 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x1.95 GHz Cortex-A55)
  • realme 15 Pro 5G: realme’s newsroom announced the 15 Pro 5G and the 15 5G on July 24, 2025. The comparison page separately lists July 29, 2025 as an official launch date. Treat that as the listing’s date rather than the announcement date.
  • OnePlus N6 5G: OnePlus India dates the launch to June 30, 2026. OnePlus’s community announcement calls it the “very first smartphone in the all-new OnePlus N Series” and positions it for India in the sub-₹25,000 segment. That is the company’s own framing, not an independent value assessment.

The N6 is therefore the newer phone by roughly eleven months, which helps explain why its software is labelled OxygenOS 16 while the realme listing shows Android 15.

Display: higher refresh rate on the realme, sharper figures on paper

realme’s India page markets the 15 Pro 5G with a 144 Hz curved display, against 120 Hz for the N6. For a phone at this price, a 144 Hz panel is the more visible difference in scrolling and animation, though the benefit depends on whether apps and games actually render at that rate.

The resolution figures come from the comparison page, not from the manufacturer pages used here. On that basis the realme panel is listed at 1280 × 2800 and the N6 at 720 × 1570. Treat the resolution gap as a listed specification, not a tested difference in sharpness or colour accuracy.

Battery and charging: capacity versus wattage

The N6 has the larger battery on paper. OnePlus gives 8000 mAh as a typical figure and 7780 mAh as the rated figure, against 7000 mAh for the realme. OnePlus also uses the phrase “8000mAh for 3 days” on its India page. That claim comes with a footnote that it is based on OnePlus Test Lab results and that actual experience varies. OnePlus describes the battery as the “Segment’s Biggest Battery” and qualifies that as of the June 30, 2026 launch within the ₹15,000–₹20,000 segment in India. It is a company claim drawn from its own lab data.

Rank #2
realme 16 Pro Dual-SIM 256GB ROM + 8GB RAM (GSM Only | No CDMA) Factory Unlocked 5G Smartphone (Orchid Purple) - International Version
  • 6.78 inches, AMOLED, 1B colors, 6.78 inches
  • 256GB Storage, 8GB RAM
  • Android 16, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm), Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Max (4 nm)
  • Rear: 200 MP, f/1.9, 23mm (wide), 1/1.56", 0.5µm, dual-pixel PDAF, OIS, 8 MP, 112˚, (ultrawide), 1/4.0", 1.12µm, Front: 50 MP, f/2.4, 23mm (wide), 1/2.88", 0.61µm

The realme has the stronger charging rating, at 80 W against 45 W. Higher wattage does not by itself mean a shorter time to full charge, because the charge curve, the charger you use and the phone’s thermal behaviour all affect the result. Likewise, a larger capacity does not guarantee longer endurance, since screen settings, network conditions and workload change the outcome. Neither company’s figures establish real-world battery life.

Cameras: the megapixel count is the least useful number

realme promotes three 50 MP cameras, covering the front and ultra-wide lenses, along with 4K recording at 60 fps across lenses. OnePlus lists a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP front camera. The realme therefore leads on listed front-camera resolution. The 60 fps video on the N6 is limited to the 6 GB + 128 GB version, so check the memory configuration before assuming the feature is available.

Sensor resolution alone does not decide photo quality. Processing, lens quality and low-light behaviour matter at least as much, and no matched, independent camera test was found in the sources reviewed for this comparison.

Performance: different platforms, no independent head-to-head

The realme uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and the N6 a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex. The comparison page includes benchmark and battery summaries, but the sources reviewed did not include an independent, matched-condition test of both phones. Any speed or endurance verdict drawn from the spec sheets alone would go beyond the evidence. If you need a performance judgement, look for reviews that run both devices under the same conditions, and attribute any numbers to whoever ran the test.

Software and updates

The comparison page lists Android 15 with Realme UI for the realme. OnePlus lists OxygenOS 16 for the N6. Neither the manufacturer material nor the comparison page reviewed here states how many years of system or security updates each phone will receive. Check each brand’s official update policy before you rely on any promise about future software support.

Price difference: a ₹9,800 gap on one listing

The comparison page displayed ₹34,799 for the realme 15 Pro 5G and ₹24,999 for the OnePlus N6 5G at Amazon, a difference of ₹9,800. That was the state of the listing when the page was captured on 4 October 2026. It is not an official MRP, and it is not a checkout price you can rely on.

Before you act on the gap, confirm the following at the point of purchase:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • The exact RAM and storage variant. A price for one configuration does not apply to another, and the N6’s 60 fps video depends on the 6 GB + 128 GB version.
  • The seller and whether it is Amazon itself or a third-party seller.
  • Bank offers, exchange values and any coupon, which can narrow or widen the gap.
  • Current stock and delivery timing.

Which one fits your priorities

  • Choose the realme 15 Pro 5G if a higher listed refresh rate, the stronger 80 W charging rating and the higher front-camera resolution matter more to you than battery capacity or the lower price.
  • Choose the OnePlus N6 5G if battery capacity is your main concern and you want the lower displayed price. Buy the 6 GB + 128 GB version if 60 fps video is important.
  • If you buy the N6, OnePlus India lists N6 Care, extended warranty, screen protection and accidental-damage protection on its protection service page. Check which plans are available for your model and region when you order.
