At its India launch in December 2022, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G cost ₹6,000 more than the realme 10 Pro 5G at matching RAM and storage. For that gap, the Pro+ offers a curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip and 67W SUPERVOOC charging, where the Pro offers a flat 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 695 and 33W charging. Both phones list a 5000mAh typical battery and a 108MP main camera, so those specifications do not separate them.
The prices below are historical India launch figures announced by realme. This article did not verify current retail prices, stock, seller terms or condition, so check live listings before buying either phone.
Launch prices in India, December 2022
realme India announced both phones on December 8, 2022, with manufacturer retail prices (MOP) for each configuration. The table lists those figures exactly as published, with the introductory bank offers realme mentioned for two of the variants.
| Model and configuration | India launch MOP | Launch offer named by realme | Sale date |
|---|---|---|---|
| realme 10 Pro 5G, 6GB/128GB | ₹18,999 | ₹1,000 introductory bank offer | December 16, 2022 |
| realme 10 Pro 5G, 8GB/128GB | ₹19,999 | Not listed in the announcement | December 16, 2022 |
| realme 10 Pro+ 5G, 6GB/128GB | ₹24,999 | ₹1,000 introductory bank offer | December 14, 2022 |
| realme 10 Pro+ 5G, 8GB/128GB | ₹25,999 | Not listed in the announcement | December 14, 2022 |
| realme 10 Pro+ 5G, 8GB/256GB | ₹27,999 | Not listed in the announcement | December 14, 2022 |
Comparing matching configurations gives a ₹6,000 gap at both 6GB/128GB (₹24,999 minus ₹18,999) and 8GB/128GB (₹25,999 minus ₹19,999). This figure is simple arithmetic on realme’s launch prices, not a separately published statistic. The 8GB/256GB Pro+ has no 256GB Pro counterpart in these launch figures, so it should not be compared with a 128GB Pro without noting the storage difference.

Where the Pro+ pulls ahead
Curved AMOLED display
The Pro+ has the most visible hardware difference. Its 6.7-inch panel is curved AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, and realme’s global page lists 1.07 billion colors and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The Pro’s 6.72-inch boundless display is flat and also runs at 120Hz. realme’s launch announcement describes it as “equipped with a 120Hz Boundless Display with 1mm Ultra-slim Side Bezels powered by RAZR Technology.”

Whether curved edges are an advantage or a nuisance depends on your grip and how often you touch the screen edges, and the specifications cannot settle that.

67W charging
Charging speed is the Pro+’s clearest specification advantage: up to 67W SUPERVOOC against 33W on the Pro. Both phones list similar typical battery capacities, so the Pro+ is not offering a larger advertised battery. Its advantage is how quickly it can take charge, assuming you use a compatible charger and cable.
Rated charging speed is a ceiling. Actual charging time depends on the charger, cable, software state and temperature. The Pro+ global page says an 80W adapter is in the box, but regional packages vary, so confirm what your unit includes before assuming you can use 67W.

Dimensity 1080 and benchmark claims
The Pro+ uses a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G on TSMC 6nm with clocks up to 2.6GHz, while the Pro uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G on 6nm with clocks up to 2.2GHz. Different chip designs do not translate clock speed into a fixed performance gap.
realme’s India launch material gives an AnTuTu score of 520,000 for the Pro+, and its global Pro+ page gives 528,313. These are different manufacturer-published figures with no shared test method shown, and no comparable score for the Pro is given. They do not establish a performance win over the Pro. No independent, same-method benchmark comparing these two phones is available from the sources reviewed here.

Where the two phones are effectively the same
Battery capacity
Both phones list a 5000mAh typical battery. The rated minimums differ slightly, at 4870mAh for the Pro and 4890mAh for the Pro+, but neither specification predicts real-world battery life. Endurance depends on screen type, software, usage and the chip, and was not measured here.
Main camera megapixels
Both list a 108MP ProLight main camera. The Pro adds a 2MP portrait camera, while realme describes the Pro+ as having an AI triple camera. Megapixels do not establish image quality, and the cited sources are not controlled photo tests, so no camera ranking is supported by this comparison.
Launch software
Both phones shipped with realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13. That is the launch software only. The cited specifications do not state how long either model will receive updates, so do not assume current update support from the launch information.

- If you want the curved AMOLED display and faster charging: the Pro+ is the only one of the two that offers both in the cited specifications. Its launch premium of ₹6,000 was for those features.
- If you prefer a flat screen or plan to use a 33W charger: the Pro covers the same 120Hz display rate and the same typical battery size, and its launch price was lower at every matching configuration.
- If you need 256GB of storage: only the Pro+ has a 256GB option in the launch pricing, at ₹27,999 for 8GB RAM.
- If you want a camera or gaming verdict: the specifications point to no clear winner. Look for independent sample photos and same-method benchmarks before deciding on those grounds.
Checking the phones before you buy
Because both models are several years past launch, the launch figures above are a starting point rather than a buying guide. Before paying anything, check the following:
Quick Recap
- The live price for the exact RAM and storage variant, not the model name alone.
- Whether the listing is the India model or an import, since regional variants and box contents can differ.
- Condition, seller and warranty terms, especially for used or refurbished units.
- The charger included with the unit if you plan to use fast charging.
- The current software update status from realme for the model you are considering.
- Case and screen protector fit: the Pro+ has a curved screen and the Pro has a flat one, so accessories are not interchangeable.
