Razer’s $500 limited-edition drop is the Huntsman Signature Edition, a flagship mechanical keyboard with a US MSRP of $499.99. The first release was announced as 1,337 serialized units, and Razer later said it would bring the keyboard back in a limited, non-serialized release. Those are launch announcements—not confirmation that it is in stock now.
What is Razer’s $500 keyboard?
The Huntsman Signature Edition is a premium mechanical keyboard that Razer positioned at the top of its keyboard portfolio. Its $499.99 US MSRP is the basis for the rounded “$500” price in the headline. Razer also listed prices of €499.99 and ¥84,680 in its February 2026 announcement; those are region-specific announced prices, not evidence of current local pricing.
Razer presents the keyboard as a combination of premium materials, hand-finished details, performance, and a refined desktop appearance. The company says its development drew on its work in switch technology, acoustics, and materials. Those descriptions are Razer’s positioning, not independent performance findings.

What makes the Signature Edition different?
Razer’s stated finishing process
Razer says each unit goes through CNC machining, anodizing, hand-polishing, PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finishing, and unit-level inspection. This is the manufacturing process described by the company in its February 19, 2026 announcement; the cited announcement does not provide independent verification of the process or a third-party quality assessment.

Performance and acoustics
The announcement refers to switch technology, acoustics, and performance, but the cited material does not establish independent test results or a full feature-by-feature comparison with other keyboards. Buyers looking beyond the premium finish should check the product’s current specifications and compare concrete details such as switch design, acoustic features, included accessories, and warranty before deciding whether the price fits their needs.
How limited was the release?
Original serialized drop
Razer announced an initial run of 1,337 serialized units. The original sale was scheduled to begin February 22, 2026, at 8 a.m. Pacific Time through Razer.com and selected RazerStores. That schedule is historical; it does not show that any of those units remain available.

Later non-serialized return

Razer named Razer.com and selected RazerStores as channels for the original launch. The official announcements cited here do not confirm current inventory or an Amazon listing. Check Razer’s current store listings for availability, and confirm that any third-party listing is for the Huntsman Signature Edition and clearly identifies its condition and seller. The original serialized run should not be assumed to be available simply because the keyboard had a later limited return.

Is the Huntsman Signature Edition worth $500?
That depends on whether the product’s materials and finishing, along with its stated design and performance focus, matter enough to justify a flagship price. The announced price and limited-run framing establish why it is a collector-oriented premium keyboard, but they do not prove that it outperforms less expensive alternatives. Compare its verified specifications, warranty, included accessories, and actual purchase price with other keyboards you are considering; the cited Razer announcements alone are not enough to establish a value or performance advantage.
