RayNeo GT Max is the stronger on-paper pick for immersive entertainment, with a manufacturer-listed 59° field of view and virtual-screen presets of 227, 267, and 307 inches. XREAL One may suit a compact external-display setup, but available sources do not establish either model as the better work glasses in a controlled comparison. For desk use, text clarity, fit, stability, and compatibility with your device matter more than headline screen-size claims.
RayNeo GT Max vs XREAL One at a glance
The figures below come from manufacturer product information and a third-party comparison matrix; they are not results of a matched test. Virtual-screen inches describe a simulated viewing experience, not the size of a physical display.

Which is better for watching movies and playing games?
RayNeo GT Max: more viewing width on paper
RayNeo lists the GT Max at 59° FOV, compared with 50° for XREAL One in the comparison matrix. It also advertises 227-, 267-, and 307-inch virtual-screen presets. Those figures make the GT Max the more compelling spec-sheet choice if you want a broad, immersive-looking view, but they do not establish that it will feel like sitting in front of a room-sized physical screen. Your perception depends on the viewing mode, fit, and host device.

RayNeo describes 1,200 nits as perceived brightness and distinguishes spatial modes in its product information. Treat that as a vendor claim, not a directly comparable measurement against XREAL’s peak-brightness figure: the sources do not show matched measurement conditions.
XREAL One: a plausible alternative for a personal screen
XREAL’s product art advertises a 147-inch spatial screen. Because the advertised screen sizes do not come with matching viewing conditions across both products, comparing the inch values alone can mislead. XREAL’s US product page also lists an optional Beam Pro and other accessories, but these are ecosystem options rather than proof of better image quality.

RayNeo says Dolby Vision on GT Max requires the optional Pocket TV Pro. Do not assume that Dolby Vision is available through every connected phone, computer, or console.

Neither product can be called the clear productivity winner on the available evidence. Both are display glasses with 1920 × 1080 resolution per eye and headline refresh rates up to 120 Hz in the cited comparison sources, but those specifications do not prove equal text sharpness, comfort, or usability for long work sessions. The sources do not provide a controlled work-focused head-to-head test or establish multi-monitor productivity performance.

- Prioritize legible text: test the font sizes and applications you use rather than assuming resolution alone will make small text comfortable.
- Check screen stability: RayNeo lists Steady, Pinned, and Follow 3DoF modes. In plain terms, these modes offer different ways for the virtual screen to respond as you move your head. XREAL lists an onboard spatial chip and on-glasses settings. The feature lists do not establish which system holds a screen more comfortably for your workflow.
- Assess fit during realistic use: nose pressure, temple pressure, and how consistently the image sits in view can matter more than a wider advertised screen.
- Confirm the workflow: make sure your computer can output video over the connection and that the single-screen or spatial setup you intend to use works for your applications.
A Tom’s Guide hands-on article describes one GT Max tryout at IFA 2026 and comments on balance and its 3DoF modes. That individual impression is not a GT Max-versus-XREAL One test or a controlled comfort study: Tom’s Guide’s GT Max hands-on.
Check your device before buying
These are host-dependent display glasses, not standalone computers. Verify that the exact phone, laptop, handheld console, or adapter you plan to use can provide compatible USB-C DisplayPort video. RayNeo explicitly notes that compatibility depends on video-output capability; the comparison matrix lists USB-C DisplayPort for both models. A USB-C connector by itself does not guarantee video output.

RayNeo says some devices may need an adapter. XREAL’s store lists an included C-to-C cable, but a cable cannot add video output to a host that lacks it. Check the device maker’s specifications and the glasses maker’s compatibility information before ordering.
Fit, prescription lenses, and returns
RayNeo offers the GT Max in three IPD sizes: S for below 64 mm, M for 64–67 mm, and L for above 67 mm. IPD is the distance between your pupils; choosing the appropriate size is distinct from adjusting nose pads. XREAL’s US store page lists S/M/L nose pads, which address fit at the nose rather than the same IPD measurement.

Quick Recap
How to choose between them
- Choose RayNeo GT Max if the wider listed FOV and larger virtual-screen presets are your priority, and its fit and host compatibility work for you.
- Consider XREAL One if you want a personal external display and its fit, spatial features, availability, and price suit your setup. The available specifications do not prove it is the better work option.
- For either model, wait to decide until you have confirmed USB-C video output, checked prescription-lens availability if needed, and tried the fit under a return policy that works for you.
