RapidFort announced a $42 million Series A on February 3, 2026. Blue Cloud Ventures and Forgepoint Capital led the round, with participation from prior lead investor Felicis Ventures and several other firms. RapidFort says it will use the funding to develop its product and platform and expand enterprise adoption and go-to-market efforts.

Who invested in RapidFort’s $42 million round?

Blue Cloud Ventures and Forgepoint Capital led the Series A. Felicis Ventures, which had led RapidFort’s prior round, also participated. The company named these additional investors: Alumni Ventures, Boulder Ventures, Brave Capital, Evolution Ventures, Florida Funders, Gaingels, and Mana Ventures. RapidFort’s February 3, 2026 announcement did not disclose a detailed allocation of the investment among investors.

What does RapidFort do?

RapidFort sells enterprise software for software supply-chain security, with an emphasis on container analysis, remediation, and hardening. The company describes its platform as covering the software lifecycle from build through runtime, where it says it continuously analyzes, remediates, hardens, and protects software artifacts.

Capabilities RapidFort describes

  • CI/CD remediation: Automated vulnerability remediation embedded in continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
  • Hardened container images: Curated images for major Linux distributions that RapidFort describes as hardened and near-zero-CVE.
  • Runtime intelligence and image optimization: The company says it uses runtime intelligence to identify and remove unused components from images.
  • Hardening and validation: Automated processes the company says help harden and validate software artifacts.

These are RapidFort’s product descriptions, not independently verified performance findings. The company says image optimization can reduce an image’s attack surface by up to 90%; that is a vendor-stated maximum, not a result established for every image or environment.

What will RapidFort use the money for?

RapidFort said the financing will support product innovation, platform expansion, enterprise adoption, go-to-market expansion, and software supply-chain assurance. The announcement did not provide a budget breakdown, so it does not establish how much will go to any one of those priorities.

What the announcement establishes—and what it does not

The release establishes the amount, date, named investors, product positioning, and funding priorities as RapidFort announced them. It does not provide independent customer validation or product testing to substantiate its efficacy claims.

The release also cites Verizon’s latest Data Breach Investigations Report for figures saying vulnerability exploitation accounted for 20% of breaches and credential abuse for 22%. Those numbers are presented in RapidFort’s announcement as Verizon-attributed statistics; the original report edition and figures have not been independently verified here. They should not be treated as independently confirmed findings on the basis of the company release alone.

RapidFort CEO and founder Mehran Farimani framed the problem this way: “The problem isn’t that organizations don’t know they have vulnerabilities, it’s that they can’t fix them fast enough.” He said the company aims “to eliminate vulnerabilities continuously—at machine speed—before they reach production.” Those statements express the company’s rationale and ambition, rather than evidence that the platform has achieved those outcomes in every deployment.
