JLR announced the fully electric Range Rover Sport on 30 September 2026 and says orders are open. The headline figures are up to 550 PS, up to 378 miles of WLTP range and 0–60 mph in as little as 4.3 seconds—but the acceleration figure requires Dynamic Launch Mode, and the range figures are manufacturer claims rather than guarantees. What the electric Range Rover Sport is
JLR describes this as a fully electric addition to the Range Rover Sport family, which also includes plug-in hybrid, petrol and diesel versions. The company says it was developed in parallel with Range Rover Electric. JLR says the new model is designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK, and uses an 800-volt electrical architecture with a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. [JLR announcement, 30 September 2026]
How powerful and quick is it?
JLR says two 260 kW motors deliver up to 550 PS and 850 Nm of torque. The company describes 850 Nm as the most torque of any Range Rover Sport. Its quoted 0–60 mph time is as little as 4.3 seconds when Dynamic Launch Mode is engaged. These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent test results. How far can it travel on a charge?
JLR quotes up to 378 miles (609 km) on the WLTP test cycle and separately estimates up to 333 miles of real-world range. The figures describe different measures: WLTP is a standardized test-cycle result, while the real-world figure is JLR’s estimate. Neither promises a particular distance for every driver; actual range depends on conditions such as route, speed, weather and driving style. [JLR announcement, 30 September 2026]

How long does charging take?
JLR says rapid DC charging can add up to 136 miles (220 km) in as little as 10 minutes, or take the battery from 10% to 80% in around 22 minutes. These are manufacturer claims for rapid DC charging; the outcome depends on charger capability and charging conditions, so the stated times should not be treated as a guarantee at every public charger. What are its trims, and can you order one?
JLR says order books are open and lists four specifications: Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition. Its announcement does not give a complete market-by-market price list, delivery schedule or standard-equipment comparison. What capability claims has JLR made?
JLR lists Adaptive Dynamics, Twin Valve Dampers, Electronic Active Roll Control and All-Wheel Steering among the chassis systems. It also describes virtual all-wheel drive and traction management, and claims the vehicle can wade through water up to 900 mm deep and climb inclines of up to 45 degrees. The company says development included testing at Magarigawa Club’s private track near Tokyo and a final test through Italian marble quarries. Does the battery warranty apply everywhere?
Warranty terms vary by market. The Range Rover Egypt customer-facing page states an eight-year warranty up to 160,000 km (100,000 miles) for the battery; that regional wording should not be assumed to apply elsewhere. Check the warranty published for the country where the vehicle will be purchased. [Range Rover Egypt]
