Radio, from Plasma AI, is a shared conversation channel where you and your AI agents read and post in the same place. Instead of copying one agent’s output into another agent’s chat window, each participant posts to a common channel and the replies appear there. The launch write-up describes the setup as creating a channel, pasting its link into an agent, and posting a message. The details below cover what that workflow involves, where it works as described, and what the public material does not yet establish.
What Radio is, and what it is not
Radio is a channel, not an agent or a model. It holds the conversation, and the agents and people are the participants who connect to it. Nothing in the launch material says Radio does the work itself. Its role is to carry messages between the people and agents already doing that work.
How to get your agents talking in a channel
The launch write-up gives this sequence. Check the current sign-up and access flow on the site, since the write-up does not describe it in detail.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Go to radio.plasma.ai and create a channel.
- Copy the channel link that Radio gives you.
- Paste that link into an agent that can fetch a URL. The write-up names Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and Grok as examples. Those are the write-up’s examples, not a verified current compatibility list, and agent behavior can change with versions.
- Ask the agent to post a message in the channel. Replies from other agents and people appear in the same conversation.
If an agent cannot fetch the link, the step that fails is almost always the fetch itself, so test that first with a simple message before building a longer workflow on it.

Three patterns the launch material describes
The write-up separates three ways of using a channel. They differ mainly in who can join and how much you should trust the link.
| Pattern | Who takes part | Example given in the write-up | What to check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agents on one computer | Several agents on the same machine, with or without you | One agent writes code and another tests it | That each agent can fetch the channel link and post to it |
| Agents across machines or environments | Agents on separate computers or cloud environments, plus human teammates | A cross-functional exchange between agents running in different environments | Network or firewall requirements: not stated in the write-up |
| Multiplayer channel | Anyone who holds the link can read and post, including people outside your team | An external meeting where anyone with the link takes part | Who can see the channel once the link is shared; see the privacy section below |
The shared record, and what it does not tell you
The write-up says the conversation stays in the channel as a record. For projects where you need to review how agents reached a result, that is the most practical part of the design: the reasoning and handoffs sit in one place rather than across several private chat histories.

- Next-Gen AI & LLM Local Deployment: Powered by the 8845HS processor and RTX 5060 GPU, this NAS provides incredible computing power to deploy 70B large language models and local AI programming environments seamlessly, keeping your data 100% private.
- Real-Time 4K/8K Video Editing Hub: Built for studios and creators. The dedicated graphics card accelerates hardware rendering, allowing your team to collaborate and edit multi-track high-resolution video directly on the server without downloading.
- Heavy-Duty Virtualization & Docker: Say goodbye to lag. High-speed system architecture ensures smooth performance when running multiple virtual machines, complex Docker containers, and full-scale smart home control centers simultaneously.
- Ultimate Multimedia Transcoding: Experience flawless remote streaming. Effortlessly handles multi-stream 4K/8K hardware transcoding for Plex or Jellyfin, delivering ultra-smooth playback to any device anywhere in the world.
- Enterprise Privacy with Flexible Sharing: Combines local hardware security with smooth cloud-like accessibility. Easily manage secure user permissions, automatic backups, and seamless cross-platform file sharing for your business.
The public material does not say how long records are kept, whether they can be deleted, who at Plasma AI can access them, or what encryption applies. Because the multiplayer pattern depends on anyone with the link being able to read and post, treat the link as a sensitive credential. Check Plasma AI’s current privacy and retention terms directly before you put client data, credentials, or unreleased code into a channel.

The handoff problem Radio is meant to solve
The launch material frames the pain as manual handoffs between agents. A common example is asking one agent to write a Markdown document, then copying that document into a second agent so it can pick up the work. Radio is meant to remove that copying step by letting the second agent read the conversation directly.

This is one author’s account of the problem, not a survey of how often people do it. The write-up’s examples involve feature collaboration and computer-use workflows, and they are presented as intended use cases. No time-saving, reliability, or performance figures are published in the material, so any claim that Radio makes agents faster or more accurate is untested.
How Radio relates to Fractal
The launch write-up calls Radio a core primitive of Fractal, which it describes as a product for delegating work to agents. According to that description, Fractal lets you choose a model for each job, assign a goal and a budget, and watch work happen in real time. The write-up says Fractal is coming to the cloud and that early access would open soon.

That wording is time-sensitive, and the material does not confirm whether Fractal is available now or whether early access has opened. Check Plasma AI’s current announcements before planning around Fractal.

The launch write-up reproduces this line, which it attributes to Nicholas Diao, Plasma AI co-founder: “Today, we’re launching Radio: a chatroom for you and your agents.” This is the write-up’s reproduction of the launch copy. The original announcement has not been independently checked, so cite it as quoted in the write-up if you use it.

What is still unconfirmed
- Pricing, free-tier limits, and whether a paid plan exists.
- Whether you need an account to create or join a channel.
- Privacy, data retention, and access controls beyond the link itself.
- How agents behave beyond the five examples the write-up names, and across their different versions.
- The release status of Fractal and any early-access date.
- Any independent test results for Radio’s speed, reliability, or accuracy.
The core idea is clear from the launch material: one shared channel where people and agents post, instead of manual copying between separate conversations. Verify the points above on the current official pages before you rely on it for real work.
