Punjab’s CM Laptop Scheme Phase II includes first- and second-semester BS students at selected private and federal universities, but private-university enrollment alone does not qualify you. The published criteria also require Punjab domicile, the applicable Intermediate marks, and no previous laptop received under a laptop scheme. Your university must appear on the current official list.
Who can apply from a private university?
The Phase II eligibility description covers first- or second-semester BS students at public institutions and selected private or federal universities. It does not establish blanket eligibility for students at every private university. The Directorate of Public Instruction (Colleges), Government of Punjab, sets out the relevant conditions in its Phase II description.
- You must have Punjab domicile.
- You must be in the first or second semester of a BS program.
- Your private or federal university must be among the selected institutions.
- You must meet the applicable Intermediate marks threshold.
- You must not have previously received a laptop under a laptop scheme.
What marks are required?
The Phase II description gives these Intermediate marks thresholds by student category:

The listed medical, dental, DVM, and nursing thresholds are specifically for public-sector students; do not assume they apply to a private-university program without checking the official criteria for that category.

Is FCCU or another private university included?
Do not infer eligibility from a university’s name or private status. The reviewed Phase II information does not provide a complete, reliably current list of selected private universities, so it does not establish FCCU’s eligibility by itself. Check your institution against the current official scheme list and ask your university’s scheme focal person to confirm whether your application record is covered.
When did Phase II launch, and are applications open now?
The University of the Punjab FCIT notice says Phase II launched on January 31, 2026, and describes applications through an online portal. Those notices do not establish whether the portal is open or closed on October 4, 2026, or give a reopening or distribution schedule. Check the official portal or contact your university’s scheme focal person for current application status rather than relying on the launch date.
What laptop will eligible students receive?
The Government of Punjab’s 2025 program page describes a laptop with a Core i7, 13th-generation processor, SSD storage, and high-speed RAM. It also associates a target of over 110,000 laptops with the 2025 program. These are 2025 program details, not confirmed Phase II device specifications or a Phase II allocation; the reviewed Phase II materials do not identify a final make or model.
