For Week 4, lean toward Puka Nacua over Cooper Kupp—but verify final pregame news before locking your lineup. The original Rams-versus-Rams comparison is outdated: Nacua is with Los Angeles, while Kupp is now a Seattle Seahawk. Nacua was listed without a game-status designation for the Rams’ Oct. 4 game, though coach Sean McVay said the team would need to manage his return workload after two missed games.
Why this is no longer a Rams-versus-Rams choice
Nacua remains on the Los Angeles Rams, but Kupp is listed on the Seattle Seahawks’ 2026 roster. They are not competing for the same Rams targets or quarterback opportunities this season. That makes this a cross-team fantasy start/sit decision, not a choice between two receivers in one offense.
For Week 4, the Rams were scheduled to play Philadelphia on Oct. 4, while Kupp’s team context is Seattle. The available sources do not establish Kupp’s Week 4 health or expected workload, so there is no sound basis here for treating him as either fully healthy or unavailable.

The Rams’ final injury report, published Oct. 2, listed Nacua without a game-status designation for the Oct. 4 game after he missed the previous two games. The report’s practice table used a hip designation, while coach Sean McVay described his absence as groin soreness; those are the terms the team’s report provides, rather than a single confirmed label to collapse into one diagnosis.

McVay said Nacua looked sharp and strong in practice, but also cautioned: “In terms of the snap count, that’s the thing that we have to be willing to navigate.” The team did not publish a snap-count number. His designation supports expecting him to be available, but does not guarantee a normal workload.
Kupp has recorded 8 catches for 101 yards and one touchdown through Seattle’s first three games. Those totals provide a modest recent baseline, but without a Week 4 availability report or workload estimate they do not establish that he is the safer play.

Production context: Nacua’s larger established baseline
Nacua’s Rams profile records 129 receptions, 1,715 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns in 2025. In his one 2026 appearance, he caught 5 passes for 74 yards. These figures show a stronger established production record than Kupp’s three-game 2026 start, but they do not predict a particular Week 4 target total or fantasy score.
The useful distinction is between demonstrated production and immediate playing-time certainty: Nacua has the stronger production baseline, while his return introduces a possible snap-management concern. Kupp’s current production is documented, but his Week 4 status is not established by the available information.

How to apply the choice to your lineup
- For a standard start/sit call: Prefer Nacua if he remains active and no late news changes the picture.
- If your lineup cannot absorb a reduced role: Treat Nacua’s return workload as a meaningful risk, not a guaranteed full snap share. Check the Rams’ final pregame updates.
- Before choosing Kupp instead: Confirm his Week 4 active status and any credible workload information. The available reports do not provide those details.
- For PPR or other scoring formats: The receiving totals above can inform your comparison, but there is no verified league-specific ranking, target projection or fantasy-points forecast here.
Check final active/inactive news before lineups lock. The recommendation is time-specific: it reflects the information available before the Rams–Eagles game on Oct. 4, 2026.
