Public Mobile’s reported $34/65GB 4G offer was a $102 payment for 90 days, not a $34 monthly bill. The subscription included 195GB of data over the full term and was reported in October 2024 as a targeted Canada–U.S. plan for some existing customers. Whether it is still available to any account is not established.
What the $34/65GB offer actually meant
MobileSyrup reported on October 22, 2024 that Public Mobile was offering some existing customers a Canada–U.S. plan for $102 per 90 days, with 195GB of 4G data. The $34 price and 65GB allowance are 30-day equivalents calculated by dividing the subscription totals by three; customers paid $102 upfront for the 90-day term. The report listed a regular monthly price of $45 and select international long-distance minutes to China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and the U.K. MobileSyrup’s October 2024 report has the offer details.
| Term | Payment | Data | Speed tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full subscription | $102 upfront for 90 days | 195GB total | 4G |
| 30-day equivalent | $34 | 65GB | 4G |
The monthly-equivalent row is arithmetic from the reported 90-day terms, not a separate monthly billing option.

Who could get it, and is it still available?
The offer was described as available to some existing customers. At the time, the original deal post directed readers to Public Mobile’s self-serve portal, and some forum commenters said they could see it in the app. Those October 2024 reports describe where customers found the offer then; they do not establish current eligibility. The contemporaneous Public Mobile Community discussion records the account-level visibility reports.

Public Mobile’s current public plan listing does not show this historical $34/65GB Canada–U.S. 4G plan. The page surfaced a $35/month 50GB 5G Canada-wide offer and other options, but a public listing cannot confirm what a specific logged-in account can select. Check your own plan-change screen for the actual price and terms before switching.
Promotions can have separate eligibility conditions. A June 2026 community post quotes restrictions for a different targeted promotion; those terms do not establish the rules for this 2024 plan. The separate promotion discussion should not be treated as confirmation of this offer’s eligibility.

How to compare the offer with current plans
Do not compare only the monthly-equivalent price or headline data allowance. The reported offer and the current public listing differ in payment term, data quantity, speed tier, and geographic coverage, so they are not like-for-like.

Does Public Mobile have 5G, and how different is it from 4G?
The reported offer was a 4G plan, while Public Mobile’s current public plan listing surfaced 5G options. That establishes the presence of 5G-labelled plans in the listing; it does not establish the speed a particular customer will experience or guarantee 5G availability at every location.
A Public Mobile Community thread from October 2024 includes readers asking whether there is much difference between 4G and 5G on the network, alongside discussion of the 90-day offer. Comments about speed in that thread are user anecdotes, not controlled performance tests. Actual performance depends on circumstances that the cited plan descriptions and discussion do not measure. Read the October 2024 community discussion for its context.

What to check before switching
- Open your logged-in Public Mobile account and go to the plan-change screen; the 2024 deal report pointed customers to self-serve, and some users then found it in the app.
- Confirm whether the specific offer appears for your account. Its historical availability to some existing customers does not establish present-day eligibility.
- Read the displayed payment amount and renewal interval. If an offer shows $102 for 90 days, treat $34 as a 30-day equivalent, not the amount charged each month.
- Check the full-term data allowance, 4G or 5G designation, Canada–U.S. or Canada-wide coverage, and any included international calling destinations.
- Compare those exact terms with the plan you have now and the current public options before accepting a change.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
