Short answer: PUBG Mobile Lite 0.24.0 was a real Android release, listed by APKMirror with a December 15, 2022 date. However, “0.24.0 Beta” is a label used by a third-party APKPure listing, not an officially verified public beta designation. It is also not the newest version shown in the available release archive. Use Google Play or the official PUBG Mobile Lite website first, and treat any old APK as potentially incompatible with current servers.
Is PUBG Mobile Lite 0.24.0 Beta an official release?
The version number 0.24.0 existed, but the evidence does not establish an official “0.24.0 Beta” release. APKMirror lists the ordinary 0.24.0 package as released on December 15, 2022, with separate ARM variants. By contrast, APKPure labels a different package “BETA PUBG MOBILE LITE 0.24.0” and identifies it as com.tencent.iglitece. That page is a third-party listing, not an official Tencent or Level Infinite announcement.
| Item | Production app | Beta-labeled listing |
|---|---|---|
| Package ID | com.tencent.iglite |
com.tencent.iglitece |
| Where identified | Google Play | APKPure |
| Official beta confirmation | Not stated | Not verified |
| Default choice for users | Yes, through an official route | No |
Do not call the APKPure package counterfeit or malware without an independent analysis. Its official status simply cannot be verified from the cited first-party sources, and its different package identifier means it should not be assumed interchangeable with the production app.

APKMirror’s release page records 0.24.0 as a December 15, 2022 release. The same archive lists later entries, including 0.25.0 dated March 7, 2023, 0.27.0 dated January 19, 2024, and 0.26.0 dated June 24, 2025. Because the archive’s displayed chronology is unusual, those entries should be reported as archive records rather than treated as proof that every build remains supported. In any event, 0.24.0 is not the latest version listed after 2022.

Where should you download PUBG Mobile Lite?
- Google Play: Check the local listing for PUBG MOBILE LITE, published there by Level Infinite. Availability depends on country, device, and account.
- Official website: Visit pubgmlite.com and use its APK option when Google Play is unavailable. The official help page explains the route: open the site, select Download APK, let the download finish, then open the file. It recommends Wi‑Fi.
- Reputable archive: Use an archive only when you have a specific historical or compatibility reason. It is not the publisher’s own server, and an old file may no longer connect to game services.
The official site may not expose a clearly numbered 0.24.0 download today, so do not assume that its current APK is that exact build.
Android requirements and APK architecture
The official Google Play description says the game is intended for lower-spec devices, with about 1 GB of RAM and approximately 600 MB of free space. The official website presents an installation estimate of roughly 500 MB. These are publisher-facing estimates, not a guarantee of performance or an exact final storage requirement after resource downloads.

Those requirements apply to the specific APKMirror variants, not universally to every PUBG Mobile Lite release. RAM is only one compatibility check: Android version, CPU architecture, graphics support, free storage, regional availability, and server access can independently prevent installation or play. Google Play or the official APK delivery is preferable because it normally selects a compatible package.

How to install the official APK
- Open https://www.pubgmlite.com/.
- Tap Download APK and, preferably, download over Wi‑Fi.
- Open the completed download from your browser or file manager.
- If Android blocks it, open the security prompt and allow that browser or file manager to install unknown apps. The exact menu varies by Android version.
- Return to the APK and complete installation.
- Launch the game and allow any required in-game resources to download.
- Sign in with an account supported by the game. After installation, turn off the “install unknown apps” permission if you no longer need it.
Why installation or login can fail
“App not installed”
- The APK architecture or Android requirement does not match the phone.
- There is not enough storage, or the download is incomplete.
- An existing installation has a conflicting signature or package.
- The file is a split package or component that needs a bundle installer rather than a standalone APK.
- The device or region is unsupported.
Check the phone’s Android version and architecture, free storage, and file completeness. Download again from an official source where possible. Do not mix the beta-labeled package with the production package while troubleshooting. If replacing an existing installation, secure the account first: Tencent’s agreement warns that guest-account data may be deleted or unrecoverable after uninstalling or changing devices.

“Update required” or login failure
Tencent’s agreement says older versions may become unusable after a new version is released and advises users to check for the latest version regularly. Therefore, a correctly installed 0.24.0 APK can still fail because the service requires a newer client.
Crashes, heat, or lag
The official FAQ recommends closing background processes and restarting the device, checking the network and battery, avoiding excessive heat (including playing while charging), lowering graphics quality, and disabling features such as anti-aliasing when necessary. These steps cannot overcome an unsupported device or server-side shutdown.

Is the APK safe?
“Safe” depends first on where the file came from and whether it has been altered.
- Lowest-risk route: Google Play.
- Preferred sideload route: the official PUBG Mobile Lite website.
- Archive use: APKMirror reports that its archived 0.24.0 files were signed by Level Infinite/Tencent and provides certificate fingerprints. That information applies to those specific files, not to every mirror or similarly named APK.
- Avoid: files advertised as unlimited UC, free skins, anti-ban, no recoil, aim assist, VIP, or mod menus.
Never enter a Tencent, Google, Facebook, or other social-login password into an APK download page. Tencent’s agreement states that unauthorized third-party software, cheats, plug-ins, modified access methods, and altered game versions are prohibited; it also allows action that can limit or withdraw service access.

Can Lite users play with regular PUBG Mobile players?
No. The official FAQ describes PUBG Mobile Lite and the full PUBG Mobile client as independent games. It says they cannot play together, do not share accounts, and do not support transfers between them.
What about iPhone, OBB files, and regional access?
iPhone and iPad
The official FAQ says there was no iOS version at the time of that page. Treat this as the FAQ’s stated platform information, not as a newly announced 2026 status update.
OBB and split packages
Use the package format supplied by the official route. A file described as an OBB, split APK, bundle, or repack is not necessarily installable by tapping it once, and it may not be an authorized distribution.

Google Play availability and the official site can vary by country, device, and account. Check the local listing and official regional page; do not assume a VPN will make an unsupported account or server region work.
Should you install 0.24.0 today?
Install it only when an official channel supplies it or when you have a well-understood compatibility reason for that historical build. Do not describe it as the latest version, do not assume the APKPure “Beta” label proves publisher approval, and do not expect an old client to connect to current servers. For normal play, choose the newest version offered through Google Play or the official PUBG Mobile Lite website and avoid modified packages.
