Sony Store Japan’s current PS5 Pro purchase application is open until October 7, 2026 at 23:59 Japan time. To qualify, you must live in Japan, use a Japan-registered Sony account unified with a My Sony ID, and have at least 60 hours of PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay on that account during Sony’s specified two-year period. Sony will check applications and hold a lottery if eligible demand exceeds planned stock; qualifying does not guarantee selection. Sony’s campaign page lists the CFI-7100B01 2TB PS5 Pro at ¥137,980 including tax.
Who is eligible for Sony Store Japan’s PS5 Pro drawing?
Sony’s 2026 campaign requires applicants to meet all of the following conditions:

- Be a resident of Japan.
- Use PlayStation online services with a Sony account registered in Japan.
- Have at least 60 total hours of PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay, while signed into the Sony account used to apply, between September 27, 2024 and September 27, 2026 at 23:59.
- Have that Sony account unified with a My Sony ID. Sony says My Sony IDs registered from January 19, 2022 onward are already unified. If you have an older or no My Sony ID, follow the account-unification instructions on the campaign page.
The gameplay-hours requirement is tied to the account you use to apply; do not assume hours on a different account will count.

- Sign in with the Sony account that meets the requirements above and open Sony’s PS5 Pro purchase-application page.
- Submit the application by October 7, 2026 at 23:59 Japan time.
- Keep access to the email address registered to that Sony account. Sony says it will check eligibility and purchase conditions after the application period, then draw only if qualifying applications exceed planned inventory.
- Allow messages from
@email.playstation.com. Sony expects to start notifying applicants around October 26, 2026, using the registered email. Linking LINE after applying can also enable LINE notification.
Sony has not published the planned unit count, number of applicants, or winning odds, so there is no reliable basis for estimating an individual applicant’s chance.

What happens if you are selected?
A selected applicant must buy through Sony’s dedicated Sony Store online page, signed in with the same Sony account used to apply. The purchase deadline is November 2, 2026 at 11:59 Japan time. Sony lists credit card, Rakuten Pay, PayPay and Merpay as accepted payment methods.
- The offer is for one console per Sony account, and the selection cannot be transferred.
- Delivery is available within Japan only; this is not an in-store purchase.
- After ordering, Sony prohibits delivery-address changes, carrier forwarding and collection at a distribution center. Sony says requests of this kind can invalidate the order.
- Sony says allocations that are not purchased may be offered from November onward through another drawing among eligible applicants who were not selected.
What Sony Store is offering
The campaign is for the PlayStation 5 Pro, model CFI-7100B01, with a 2TB SSD. Sony lists the price as ¥137,980 including tax. The package includes one DualSense wireless controller, horizontal feet, HDMI, power and USB cables, printed materials, and ASTRO’s PLAYROOM preinstalled.
If you play physical discs
The PS5 Pro does not include a built-in disc drive. A separate drive is an optional accessory for people who want to use physical games; it is not part of Sony Store’s lottery eligibility. Are the rules the same at every Japanese retailer?
No. Sony Store’s account, gameplay, application and delivery conditions apply to Sony’s campaign, not to all PS5 Pro sales in Japan. Retailers can use lotteries, invitation sales or other methods, with their own eligibility and purchase rules. Check the specific retailer’s current notice before applying.
Kojima Net: a closed 2024 campaign
Kojima Net’s PS5 Pro lottery page documents a closed, launch-era 2024 campaign, not an open 2026 drawing. Its rules included a Kojima Net account, qualifying purchase history at Kojima Net or a Kojima, Bic Camera or Sofmap group store during the stated two-year window, one application per person, and specified Kojima/Bic Camera payment cards for purchase. Those historical terms should not be applied to Sony’s current offer or treated as Kojima’s current rules.
Nojima Online: retailer-specific invitations
Nojima Online’s explainer describes its own anti-resale formats, including lotteries, secret sales, invitation sales and designated-customer offers. It says its invitation approach began with PS5 Pro reservations in 2024 and prioritized invited members of higher account ranks; newsletter settings affected invitation messages. Nojima game staff member Inoue wrote: 「招待制販売」は、2024年11月7日発売の「PS5 Pro」ご予約時から採用しました。 This describes Nojima’s launch-era method, not a currently open PS5 Pro drawing.
