Affordable voice cloning with API access, but only six languages.

zVoice is a web-based text-to-speech service for turning scripts into downloadable audio. It is aimed at small teams and creators working on videos, podcasts, courses, apps, and other narration workflows. Its feature set combines 977 voices across six languages with voice cloning from uploaded audio, speed and pitch controls, MP3 and WAV downloads, and a REST API with API keys. The service is available through the web and API, with a maximum input length of 5,000 characters.
Pricing is structured around usage and cloning capacity. The Free plan provides 1,000 characters per month, is intended for testing, and does not require a card. Starter costs $12 per month and includes 60,000 characters, MP3 and WAV exports, API access, commercial use, and a seven-day audio library. Pro costs $29 per month, raises usage to 300,000 characters, and supports up to five voice clones. Studio costs $79 per month, provides 1,200,000 characters, supports up to 20 voice clones, and adds priority support. Commercial use is included on paid plans, while billing periods already started are non-refundable.
The main trade-off is breadth versus focused voice production. zVoice offers cloning, programmatic generation, downloadable formats, and paid commercial rights in one service, which suits teams producing recurring narration or integrating speech generation into an app. The six-language limit makes it less suitable for projects requiring wider language coverage. Teams that need inexpensive cloning, API access, and straightforward audio exports should consider zVoice; teams needing more than six languages should choose a different text-to-speech service.
