ZModeler3 review
A focused Windows tool for game-format modeling, UVs, materials, rigs, and animation.

ZModeler3 is a Windows desktop 3D modeling application for creating and modifying game assets. It is aimed at modders and game-asset creators who need format-aware import and export workflows, geometry editing, UV mapping, texture and material management, and skeletal animation tools. Officially documented workflows include game ecosystems such as GTAV, ETS2, and ATS, with separate 32-bit and 64-bit downloads for Windows 8.1 or later.
Its strongest area is the asset pipeline for game-specific work. Import and export filters are paired with a UV Mapper that supports remapping, stitching, and editable UV elements. The texture browser supports replacement, renaming, duplicate removal, and previews, while materials can be edited and native material libraries can be loaded or saved. DirectX 11 rendering and support for modern block-compressed textures further align the application with game-asset workflows.
ZModeler3 also covers skeleton, bone, rigging, and animation-track tasks, with Collada DAE and Biovision BVH import and export filters. The published plans show a 14-day free trial followed by a paid 720-days license, making it suited to users planning sustained modding work rather than occasional asset edits. Its Windows-only platform requirement and focused feature set narrow its audience: choose it for game-specific modeling and modding workflows, but consider a broader 3D application if your work spans platforms or requires a wider production toolkit.
