Zendesk AI Agents are autonomous customer service agents for organizations using Zendesk. They can answer inquiries across messaging, email, social, web, mobile, and voice; reason through multi-step requests; execute actions across connected systems; and escalate to human agents with conversation context. Connected knowledge can come from help centers, Google Drive, PDF sources, and external systems. The product also supports multilingual service, workflow automation, quality controls, and flexible APIs.
Zendesk’s published plans show a paid structure with a 14-day trial and annual billing. Support Team starts at $19 per agent per month and includes email and ticketing, ticket routing, analytics dashboards, automations, and triggers. Suite Team costs $55 per agent per month and adds AI Agents, a knowledge base, Action Builder, messaging and live chat, and telephony. Suite Professional costs $115 per agent per month and adds Admin Copilot, App Builder, writing tools, quick reports, and an IVR phone menu. Suite Enterprise + Copilot lists Intelligent Triage, Auto Assist, Generative AI for Voice, approval workflows, and a sandbox environment. AI Agents are included across Suite and Support plans, with usage priced by successful automated resolutions.
The main strength is breadth: Zendesk combines channel coverage, connected knowledge, workflow actions, human handoff, automated interaction evaluation, self-improvement from resolution outcomes, and APIs in one service environment. It is available on web, iOS, Android, and through APIs, with integrations for Google Drive, PDF sources, external systems, and Zendesk APIs. Support teams already using Zendesk should find the platform’s connected workflows and escalation model especially relevant. Teams seeking a standalone AI agent outside the Zendesk ecosystem, or those needing predictable usage costs rather than resolution-based pricing, should consider alternatives.
