Our verdict on YouDJ
YouDJ is DJ software for beginners and casual DJs who want to mix music without committing to a single operating system. Its two virtual turntables support AutoSync, AutoBPM, loops, hotcues, keylock, headphone preview, playlist automix, effects, and a built-in sample library. YouDJ runs on the web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and Chrome, giving new DJs several ways to start mixing.
Its platform coverage is a central strength. Users can work with demo tracks and import music from YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, iTunes, and local MP3 files. MIDI controller support includes mappings and a MIDI editor, while desktop users can access video mixing, mix recording, and live streaming. That combination makes YouDJ broader than a simple browser mixer, although the most substantial media features are tied to desktop use. It suits learners, casual performers, and DJs who value access across web and mobile more than advanced club workflows.
The free version includes core DJ tools plus free mobile, desktop, and Chrome apps. YouDJ Pro adds additional effects, local MP3 mixing, video DJ controls, mix recording, MIDI control, and live streaming; upgrades are presented as one-time payments rather than subscriptions. YouDJ is a sensible pick for accessible practice, basic sets, and experimenting with different devices. DJs who need verified stems, DVS, or a deeper advanced-performance feature set should consider a more specialized alternative.
