YakChat is a business messaging platform for organizations that need two-way SMS and multimedia messaging across Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, browsers, and mobile apps. It suits customer service, sales, operations, healthcare, government, and other teams that need shared business communications with archiving, contact management, compliance controls, and business numbers. Conversations can include SMS, MMS, RCS, and WhatsApp, while personal and shared inboxes support different communication workflows.

Its strongest fit is the Microsoft ecosystem. YakChat connects with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 contacts, Power Automate, Microsoft Edge, and related tools, while also supporting Cisco Webex, Salesforce, Okta, and several SMS providers. Power Automate workflows can support two-way SMS processes, and browser, iOS, Android, and Chrome extension access give teams several ways to work with messages. Contact import, verification-code routing, opt-in and opt-out controls, automated compliance messages, and message archiving extend the platform beyond basic texting.

The plan structure is feature-led. The 14-day trial includes 50 SMS credits and all features unlocked. Starter adds bring-your-own-number support, Teams/Webex, and WhatsApp; Standard adds multiple inboxes, OTP/2FA text reception, and MMS group chat; Professional adds unlimited SMS subject to fair usage, translation, AI Assist, and RCS. MFA focuses on inbound-only messaging, unlimited SMS, unlimited users, and OTP/2FA reception, while Enterprise includes Starter features and more. YakChat offers toll-free and long-code numbers but not short codes. Choose it for Microsoft-centered teams needing auditable, multichannel messaging; organizations seeking short-code messaging or a simpler narrow-purpose SMS tool should look elsewhere.
