XPConnect is a free platform for the X-Plane flight-simulation community, combining multiplayer flying, air traffic control, flight tools, and a desktop companion app. Its streaming bot is part of that companion app and supports Twitch and Kick, making it a fit for desktop streamers who want chat utilities tied to flight simulation as well as familiar stream interactions. It is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Its commands include flight, weather, airport, and career queries, so the focus is narrower than a general-purpose chat bot.
The command and interaction set is a notable strength for streams built around flight or community participation. There are 32 chat commands, per-command and per-viewer cooldowns, and moderator-only controls. Loyalty points and watch-time tracking support ongoing viewer engagement; giveaways, song requests, and music-player controls add other chat activities. Personality selection and a mood system shape bot responses, while event-triggered commentary and OBS scene mapping connect chat activity to stream scenes. BetterTTV emote rendering is also supported.
XPConnect is free to use, including its platform features and bot. Integration options include Twitch, Kick, OBS WebSocket, BetterTTV, and the XPConnect REST API. One practical consideration is the bot's desktop-app dependency: this is not a standalone cloud bot. Kick support also has a setup distinction: command coverage is documented when the Kick webhook is connected, while the in-GUI bot reads Twitch. AI features require a provider key, and the provider may charge separately for usage. Choose XPConnect if a desktop setup, X-Plane context, and flight-oriented chat commands fit your stream; consider a broader cloud bot if you need a bot that runs independently of a companion app.
