Our verdict on WProofreader

WProofreader is a multilingual proofreading product for developers, teams and organizations building web applications, rich-text editors or browser-based writing workflows. Its SDK and standalone grammar-check API cover spelling, grammar, punctuation and style, while the browser extension checks writing across websites. Language autodetection, custom dictionaries, style rules, autocorrection, autocomplete and text prediction support more tailored writing experiences. AI-assisted rewriting, summarization and proofreading are also included among its capabilities.

Integration breadth is a central strength. WProofreader supports CKEditor 5, CKEditor 4, Froala, TinyMCE, Quill, Tiptap, Syncfusion, Slate and Draft.js, along with Moodle, Drupal and WordPress. It can run as a cloud service or through self-hosted deployment, giving organizations a choice of operating model. This makes it a strong fit for teams embedding proofreading into an existing product rather than looking only for a standalone writing checker. Buyers should confirm that their preferred editor and deployment approach align with the available integration options.

The published plans show a Free tier with basic spelling, grammar and style checking, multiple languages, a user-level custom dictionary and WProofreader branding. Growth costs EUR 34 per month or EUR 340 per year and adds multilingual checking, autocorrect and autocomplete suggestions, custom dictionaries, a style guide builder, team access and AI writing assistant text operations. Scale costs EUR 62 per month or EUR 620 per year, with everything in Growth plus listed team and language-governance capabilities. Enterprise adds custom word volume, flexible limits, cloud or self-hosted deployment, priority support and a dedicated account manager. Choose WProofreader for embedded, multilingual proofreading; choose another tool if tone detection or a simpler end-user product is the priority.
