Workhand is construction management software for small remodeling and trade-contractor crews. It brings estimates with electronic signatures, milestone invoicing, Stripe payments, selections, change orders, daily logs, photos, punch lists, crew communication, subcontractor coordination, and customer updates into one product. Browser access is paired with iPhone and Android apps, while English, Spanish, and Portuguese support and offline field operation suit crews working across active job sites.

Pricing is structured around three monthly plans. Free costs $0 per month and includes estimates with e-signature, Stripe-paid invoices, per-job chat, photos, punch lists, daily logs, and unlimited subcontractors with COI tracking. Pro costs $34.99 per month and adds unlimited active jobs, recurring invoices, time tracking, mileage, an AI receipt scanner, and a customer review funnel. Team costs $89.99 per month and adds cost tracking, per-job profit, QuickBooks Online sync, sales pipeline and CRM tools, a customer-facing job portal, and priority support. A 14-day free trial is also available.

Workhand’s strongest remodeling-specific area is coordination around changing project decisions. Homeowner selections can include photos, vendors, SKUs, and signoff dates, while electronic change orders update job totals and invoices. Customer portals provide access to photos, job status, selections, and balances, and subcontractors receive per-job access with COI tracking. Stripe supports card and ACH payments, and Team provides two-way QuickBooks Online synchronization. Small remodelers wanting an affordable operational hub should find the plan structure relevant; companies needing a broader suite beyond the published feature set should consider alternatives.

Workhand pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Free plan includes estimates, invoicing, chat, photos, and punch lists
    • Selections and electronic change orders keep client decisions tied to job totals
    • Offline mobile capture supports photos, notes, time, mileage, and chat
  • Where it doesn't
    • QuickBooks Online synchronization is available only on the Team plan
    • The verified feature set is narrower than larger remodeling software suites
    • Advanced cost, profit, CRM, and portal features require the Team plan
