Workato Agent Studio review
A no-code agent platform for integration-heavy enterprise automation.

Workato Agent Studio is a no-code environment for creating and managing AI agents called Genies. It is designed for enterprises that need agents to retrieve context from knowledge bases, call applications and workflows, and complete multi-step business actions. Genies can be deployed through Slack, Microsoft Teams, Workato GO, or custom interfaces. Scheduled and event-triggered workflows, file and image handling, structured-data analysis, and human approval processes extend the platform beyond question answering.
The pricing structure combines a no-cost Free plan with a paid Pro tier and an Enterprise option. Free includes 50,000 one-time credits and AI and Agentic capabilities. Pro costs $75 per month, includes 2,500 credits per month, and offers additional credit tiers. Credits measure platform usage, including Genie actions, rather than a stated monthly run count. Enterprise pricing requires contacting Workato, while the published structure is platform-level rather than a separate Agent Studio price sheet. Buyers should compare expected agent activity with the credit model before selecting a paid tier.
Integration depth is the clearest differentiator. Agent Studio supports skills that call applications, workflows, and recipes; MCP connectivity for external APIs and tools; programmatic APIs for genies, knowledge bases, and skills; and integrations with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Workato GO, and 12,000+ applications. Workato GO can also provide world-knowledge search and custom web crawler sources when used as an interface or data source. Teams needing governed automation across existing business systems should consider it. Teams seeking an open-source builder or a narrowly scoped standalone agent tool should choose an alternative.
