Freelancers, founders and small companies can use WISO MeinBüro to bring invoicing, receipts, online banking and preparatory bookkeeping together in a browser-based service. Its workflows include creating invoices, quotes, orders and delivery notes, keeping customer and supplier records, and managing tasks with due dates and reminders. Mobile apps for iOS and Android capture receipts into a searchable archive. The bookkeeping features prepare EÜR and VAT advance returns, including ELSTER submission, and can generate entries for sales and expenses using applicable tax rates. Multiple companies can be managed in one account, making the product relevant to small operators with more than one business.

Plan choice determines how much bookkeeping and operational work is covered. According to the vendor’s pricing page, Rechnungen & Angebote costs €10.90 per month with annual billing and includes invoicing, quotes, a receipt archive, and tax and tax-adviser export features. Buchhaltung is €19.90 monthly and adds bookkeeping and banking, automatic payment matching, and EÜR and VAT advance-return features. Auftragswesen costs €39.90 monthly, adding order management, time tracking, REST API and document-management features. Warenwirtschaft is €69.90 monthly and adds inventory management, purchasing and order workflows, and document-management features. Listed prices are regular prices excluding VAT; a 14-day trial ends automatically and does not require payment details.

Its ecosystem is particularly relevant to German bookkeeping: listed integrations include DATEV, ELSTER and WISO Steuer, alongside PayPal, Stripe and CleverReach. Tax-adviser exports can help pass accounting information onward, while connected online banking supports payment matching. The cloud service also has mobile access, and the stated compliance posture includes GDPR. Support is offered by email, phone, ticket and documentation, rather than 24/7 support. MeinBüro is a fit for solo and small businesses that want billing and tax-preparation workflows in one service; businesses seeking a platform centered on month-end close automation should look elsewhere.

WISO MeinBüro pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Matches detected bank payments to open items automatically
    • Prepares EÜR and VAT advance returns, including ELSTER submission
    • Captures receipts by mobile app and exports accounting data to DATEV
  • Where it doesn't
    • No free plan; listed plans require annual billing
    • Order, time-tracking and inventory features require higher-priced plans
    • Focuses on small-business bookkeeping rather than close automation
