Whop combines storefronts, checkout, payment acceptance, subscriptions, payouts, digital-product hosting, marketplace distribution, affiliate management, and APIs. It is aimed at creators, software businesses, agencies, service businesses, marketplaces, and other online operators. For creators selling memberships, courses, communities, or software, the platform brings recurring and one-time pricing with digital delivery into the same system. Its free plan includes checkout, subscriptions, digital delivery, marketplace distribution, affiliates, payouts, APIs, and full tax handling in supported modes.
Whop supports hosted checkout links and embedded checkout on the web, with API access for custom payment and subscription flows. Payment acceptance covers cards, wallets, ACH, and local payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA Debit, Vipps, MobilePay, Swish, Cash App, Klarna, Zip Pay, AfterPay, Sezzle, and Splitit. Payout options include bank transfers, wires, crypto, and Venmo. This breadth makes Whop a fit for businesses that need more than a basic payment page, especially when memberships, digital delivery, affiliate sales, and marketplace discovery belong in the same operating model.
The published pricing structure has a Standard Pricing option with pay-as-you-go billing, no setup fees, and no monthly costs. It charges 2.7% for every successful card transaction. Custom Pricing adds tailored rates, country-specific rates, volume-based pricing, a dedicated account manager, and dedicated implementation for high-volume businesses. Whop’s merchant-of-record role covers sales tax, VAT, and similar transaction taxes when the seller enables Whop Collects and Remits mode in supported jurisdictions. Choose Whop for a broad creator-commerce stack; businesses needing tax coverage outside those supported modes should consider a more specialized alternative.
