Our verdict on WeDJ
WeDJ is AlphaTheta Corporation’s mobile DJ application for mixing tracks on smartphones and tablets. It is aimed at DJs who want two-deck mixing on iOS or Android, particularly users with compatible Pioneer DJ hardware. The interface includes waveforms, jog wheels, tempo controls, a crossfader, three-band EQ, hot cues, looping, sampler functions, Pad FX, Automix and performance recording. That gives mobile users a focused set of tools for preparing and performing mixes without moving to a desktop application.
The freemium structure makes WeDJ accessible for basic Android use. The Free version mixes up to five songs per session on Android, while the Full Pack is an unlockable in-app purchase for WeDJ for iPhone. The published plan names do not describe a broader tier structure, so the main buying decision is whether the free Android session limit fits your workflow or whether iPhone users need the paid unlock. WeDJ is best suited to shorter practice sessions, casual mixing and mobile performance rather than buyers looking for a wide range of plans or an expansive desktop-style package.
Hardware compatibility is a clear part of the product’s appeal. WeDJ supports compatible Pioneer DJ controllers including the DDJ-200, DDJ-WeGO4 and DDJ-WeGO3, giving Pioneer-hardware users a direct way to combine physical controls with mobile software. Its feature breadth remains concentrated around two-channel mixing, with no listed support beyond the mobile platforms and compatible controllers. Choose WeDJ if mobile access, Pioneer compatibility and core mixing controls matter most. Choose an alternative if you need broader verified functionality, more than two decks or a less hardware-specific workflow.
