Wayopay is a merchant-of-record platform for creators and other digital content sellers offering videos, music, ebooks, documents, and downloads. It combines a hosted storefront, cart, customer accounts, checkout, file hosting, streaming, subscriptions, payment processing, and monthly payouts. As the legal seller, Wayopay calculates, collects, files, and reports VAT and other sales taxes. The product is suited to sellers who want one hosted system for presenting digital products and handling the operational side of online sales.

Pricing is transaction-based rather than subscription-based. The published pricing presents a 15% transaction fee, with a minimum charge of 30p per transaction. Payment processing, VAT handling, file hosting, customer support, and subscription management are included in the platform fee. Monthly payouts can go to a bank account or PayPal, and the supported payout currencies are GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, and AUD. This structure may suit creators who prefer to avoid a separate monthly plan, but the percentage fee can make the service less attractive as transaction volume grows.

Its strongest fit is a hosted media storefront with broad digital-delivery needs. Sellers can offer secure downloads, streaming, rentals, encrypted links, recurring subscriptions with automatic renewals and failed-payment retry, plus product variants, bundles, categories, filters, and CSV imports. Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay processing are supported, while Dropbox and WeTransfer are listed integrations. Contributor revenue-split tracking and financial reports add useful support for collaborative catalogs. Choose Wayopay if hosted checkout and full tax administration are priorities; consider an alternative if you need a self-hosted checkout, lower transaction costs, or broader payout-currency support.
