VoyaBear review
VoyaBear turns a travel prompt and personality quiz into editable day-by-day itineraries across web, iOS and Android.

VoyaBear is a consumer travel planner from Voyager AI Limited, a London private company incorporated in 2023. Founder and CEO Jen-Yu Teng describes it as a solo-built product; LinkedIn lists one employee. The app combines a 16-type travel-personality quiz, destination discovery, bucket lists, a world map, day-by-day trip plans and an in-trip view. It is available as a web app plus official iOS and Android apps.
The planning flow is concrete: users describe destination, dates, companions and pace, receive a route ordered around real places, then drag stops or ask in chat for changes. Trips can be shared for joint editing, saved trips remain readable without a signal, and booking emails or PDFs can be filed into Tickets. The app also links attraction purchases to Viator. Teng Consultancy’s case study reports sub-10-second itinerary generation and an interactive map, but that is a vendor project case study with a founder testimonial rather than independent user research.
The main evidence gap is adoption. Apple says there are not enough ratings to show an overview; Google Play shows 10+ downloads and no star rating. Searches found no VoyaBear profiles or ratings on G2, Capterra, GetApp, Software Advice, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights or Trustpilot. Pricing is transparent: free use includes 50 starter coins, while VoyaBear+ costs £29/year on the web; extra coin packs start at £0.99. Buyers needing established review volume, direct flight or hotel booking, documented calendar export, or a published trip-length ceiling should compare more mature planners.
VoyaBear pros and cons
- Where it wins
- Sixteen travel profiles change itinerary pace, structure and activity mix.
- Shared editing, booking import and offline saved trips cover the trip lifecycle.
- Free tier plus £29/year unlimited-AI option is clearly published.
- Where it doesn't
- No public maximum trip length or detailed calendar-export documentation.
- AI use on the free tier is coin-metered after 50 starter coins.
- Apple and Google Play pages show no meaningful public review base.
